Gamestop is running their buy 2 pre-owned games get 2 pre-owned games for free winter sale

use code CAG16 for an extra 16% off if you're a GameStop powerup member.

Great deal for those Nintendo Switch games since they hardly ever drop in price.

does not seem to work on SNES games, although it's advertised.. And yes, SNES is the only console I still own

Still there advertising it below the retro games in the tag line. I ended up deciding I wanted Paperboy 2 bad enough I got it off Ebay..

If I still had an Xbox 360 it would have been great to get dirt cheap games.. I always went in the store to see what games I could get for $10 and always had 2-3 for that.. Theres a local store near me that moved out of the mall and literally into the woods that is 100x better than Gamestop but I never venture that far out into the sticks anymore

Sadly, GameStop pre-owned prices are usually more that buying brand new retail from most other stores... Even with the discounts.

CAG16 coupon seems to be dead. Anyone having any luck with the code or any other codes now? Got my 5 year old a 2DS XL for Xmas and now I need to get him a slew of games. B2G2 is a decent sale for pre-owned, really wish I would've known before the CAG16 apparently died overnight (via Slickdeals) - seems GameStop thought they were taking an L and put a stop to it.

I look at their pre owned games once in a while. Sometimes the price is fairly good but I never want to buy it because then I have to deal with the disk. Digital download is a great thing.

Thanks! Was browsing this today. This is what appears on the site when you are in the pre-owned versions- Also, it says the winter sale ends tomorrow.

It will auto apply the discount to an equal or lesser priced game. (yes I know there are to GTA's, I was trying to locate a store with one in stock).

almost all the switch games I wanted were not available as preowned from the time it started. O well lol.

I did get the ones I wanted for PS4, but if the price is worth it with shipping, maybe just order them?

I went by my local gamestop yesterday & it looked raided. ALmost all WII u was gone, very few switch pre-owned, and there were holes in the shelves where they didn't have enough games to cover them up I guess.

The glass cabinet with 8-10 used systems only had 3.

wonder how many games were in the file cabinent that were not on display.. I wanted a sort of rare Xbox 360 game a while back. don't even remember what it was. found a local store had a copy via the website, and then went to get it. The attendent had to dig through the file cabinent, kind of disgusted that I would even want it, and she told me that hundreds of games were in the store but not on display.. I think the game was $3-4 and the only thing I bought that day

Lol santa brought my kiddo a switch for xmas. I went to 4 gamestops in 3 crappy central KY towns and they were all ran sacked trying to take advantage of this deal. Good thing daddy hit 200 bucks playing keno while drinking the night before!

Used switch games seem to command top dollar even on ebay it seems.

Yeah, Nintendo games hold their value for a long time. Since Nin is generally allergic to price drops the used prices stay high as well.

Funny thing I noticed... Was that recent AAA titles were all absent the day prior to the end of the sale. When I took my boys to spend their cash and giftcards the day after... They all magically appeared.

It's a mystery. All at my local stores I typically hit for this. These sales are the only reason I walk into these stores.

If you have not already, spend the giftcards asap. Those stores are going out of business. I assume when you mean mystery, you mean that sarcastically, right?

I just bought 2 sets of those $100 game vouchers in the eShop when I got the Switch for the kids. Each voucher is good for any game, so you save $20 or so on two $60 games. It's not a lot, but they were Nintendo games that very rarely go on sale anyways, so it's about as good as you can get use or new for the 1st party titles.

I opted to go all-digital too on the Switch just so I don't have to worry about the kids managing/damaging/losing the carts. A 256GB SD card was only like $40 at the time too and can hold prolly 30 full-sized Switch games by itself or more

I assume you mean used AAA games, not new ones? So you went in the day before the sale ended and they had 0 used AAA games for sale, then they did on the day after the sale ended?

Doesn't make too much sense actually considering they usually only sell newer used AAA games at a $5 discount over new ones and I'm sure they would make you pay for the two most expensive used games before you get two used ones for free. They would still be making a decent profit off of you after charging you $110 for four newer used games since they only bought them for $10-$15 from the dumbass to sold them for that instead of selling them privately for 2-3 times more.
