UPDATE: Bethesda has responded: https://reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/eepvot/an_update_on_the_current_pc_exploit/ Essentially, they try downplaying this mess. Will be interesting to see how they compensate the likely thousands impacted... and if they actually fix this exploit.

Dear God, just reading through the reddit threads briefly... its a nightmare. People logging into the public servers just having their gear stolen. Only way to theoretically be safe is pay for the personal servers from Bethesda.

Nothing new I had my house looted in Ultima Online a few times before they rolled out a patch a few months later.
One way to get into somone's house was die by the doorsteps and rez between the door to access a house.
Then they had stuff like locking down items which was ok or corrupt Game Managers GMs....
