Some more RT coming up, nice to see that

As part of GTC 2019, Nvidia’s GPU Technology Conference, six fresh PC games have been revealed which will support ray tracing.

The most high-profile effort being the battle royale Ring of Elysium, which is already out and will benefit from ray tracing via an update (although exactly when it might arrive wasn’t mentioned).

The others are unreleased titles, namely: Boundary, Convallaria, F.I.S.T, Project X, and Xuan-Yuan Sword VII.

Might be interesting to see, for those that have the hardware, especially since the game itself isn't that graphically demanding. It's not a terrible game either considering, and they did just release their public DX12 beta.

I think some of the "slower" games would benefit the most from good raytracing. Fast-paced games you are less likely to be able to appreciate the improved details.

On the front page this thread is showing as "Nvidia announces 6 more"

I thought it was going to be more video cards.. 1569 Super 6969 Ti

whew....

RoE is a weird game to be getting RTX. It's definitely just a showcase for attention, nobody is going to take the frame rate hit to have RTX enabled in a battle royale like that. But, more RTX support is good for those who bought in early.

OK I was irked about not knowing these titles and already saw why, they are Chinese made games.

I don't state this as an offense, just that I doubt that they will suddenly become massively popular in the west.

Get going on making the Original Unreal with RTX. I'd buy an RTX card for that and Quake 2.
From what I hear quake 2 was meh with RTX.

Plus it's a twitch shooter. You need all those frames. I think it's purpose was more of a tech demo.

Unreal would be awesome though, i agree.

Mmm Unreal.. those reflections on that polished floor during the intro. I was sure that was the apex of all things that would ever be real time graphics at the time :p

Q2 is a bucket of fun with RTX, 1080p @60fps.

Nobody played Q2 at 144fps at launch.

Done well, lighting can play a very crucial part in tactical games, including fast-paced shooters. With respect to ray tracing, the implementation is absolutely key; we haven't seen one yet that would be suitable.

That's every new game until you hear about them and one or more gives you a reason to care about them.
Except I did hear about a bunch of upcoming games that seemed interesting, and guess what they are not these.

I can't even find any info on these games they have so nondescript titles, except the last which is a taiwanese RPG, that probably won't even get an English release, so why should I be excited?

Supposedly MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries is getting the RTX treatment in Jan/Feb. I am looking forward to it.

Bummed Diablo 4 doesnt do VR top down like lucky world. Oh right this about ray tracing and its useless overpriced cores lol

I laugh because you literally need a 2080ti to actually use RT with any playable experience.

Hahaha I wouldn't call Ring of Elysium high profile. That game died the day Blackout was released over a year ago and has gotten worse since then and is basically a ghost town now. Never even heard of the other games. NVIDIA must be desperate.

Not true at all; the RTX 2060 Super, generally a 1080p or 1440p card, runs RT just fine at 60ish FPS and 40ish FPS respectively in most games. With a G-sync display, that's pretty damn playable by anyone's standards.

I know I've been enjoying RT in games on my 2080 at 3440x1440 at least with 60+ FPS the majority of the time.

You would have bought your 2080ti with no RTX/DLSS hardware at the same exact price. Nvidia had you hook, line and sinker.

I replied to you but then deleted it. I cant reply to such ignorant flaming as yours. Have a nice day.

Call me when the tech matures and the prices to go down. It is tempting to play the old games with new graphics but it needs to move up a level, id tech III and unreal engine II.

Glad to see all the non-RTX having haters, hatin.

lol

Chinese games? Yeah I'll probably not play them. But who knows.

And just a dose of reality, there are in fact other games than those on this list coming that will have RTX.

It can only be a good thing to have more games supported.

I’m happy to see it
