$999 for laptop with 144hz, 1660Ti, 9750H

Not bad price . Only thing I found people bitching about was the touch pad and the whining of fans.

What I just saw it drop to $949 too! I want $50 back lol. That is crazy good price.

More than likely you can get it back. People are getting refunds on the HP computer they had on BF for $549 that's $499 now.

Hey JR, how about a review once you have had the laptop for a little while? How is battery life, temps, fan noise, bloatware, expandability, build quality, etc?

Dave2d likes that model a lot.

I will certainly provide a review! Give me a week or so and I’ll have some data to share!

I keep checking the link and it's still $950. I hate the hot deals thread. I'm sweating bullets on buying this beast, the more you spend the more you save. ;)

It even has an IPS screen... I have a similar one from Lenovo and love it.

Remember for every deal you miss today, there's another deal you can get on tomorrow. ;) (That should help a bit. :D)

I had one of these as a loaner when my X1 was in for service. Its quite solid and I like how it is relatively stealthy for a gaming notebook. The build quality is better than the Dell G5 I used to have as well. However the Dell is cheaper for similar specs (when I got it).

I'm just going to wait. I figure there will be a massive influx of open box sales and returns in January 2020 with low prices.

I will have a short review of the laptop posted soon. My only gripe at this time is the touchpad. Definitely seems they could have done better in that area. I also use a MacBook for work stuff, which I consider the gold standard for touchpads (For me at least).

That Maingear Vector looks pretty interesting, I pass by a Microcenter on my way home from work - might check it out for a comparison.

2 questions for JR688755

Does hybrid mode (uses the igpu when not gaming) work and/or is it an available choice in Lenovo Vantage or elsewhere, or is it automatic?

What is the issue w/the touchpad?

JR, what is the sRGB and Adobe RGB percentage on the screen?

nvrmnd, i ordered it

The 60 hz 17" is the same price with the differences being a 60 hz screen, smaller 256 gb ssd and an added 1tb hdd.

I gotta sleep on this some more.

This is why I only buy Mac laptops now, that and their hinges are better than almost all PC laptops and the battery life is better than most as well. Touchpads seem pretty hard for everyone else to get right.

I am debating a loaded X1 Carbon vs something like this type of laptop. I don't game much at all anymore...but the pricing on these types of machines seems a lot better than the higher end X1's. Just built one for a CEO with LTE and it was sweet, esp the newer audio quality.
