This looks like it is going to be a turd. It is coming out in a little over a week and there is zero hype for it.

they must be expecting this to fail big because they are already announcing a crossover event...Babylon’s Fall + NieR: Automata ...Babylon's Fall will be the host of the collaboration...the event will allow players to explore the Machine Village and Amusement Park found in NieR: Automata...

Square Enix isn't marketing the game at all. The only thing they put any marketing effort into is there licensed Marvel games anymore. I still don't know what this game is. All I know is it's supposed to be some kind of multiplayer dungeon crawler with PlatinumGames' signature style, and that is it. Is there a single player mode? Are the areas randomly generated? What kind of real replayability does this premium-priced game with overpriced microtransactions offer? Is it just the same "hamster on a wheel" we have been fed with every other live service game that has been released? It's not good when the audience you're targeting has so many questions, but that just might be my cynicism for anything that bills itself as "live service" being released.

Reviews out and looks like trash. 4/10 from IGN.

It has the microtransactions and barriers of a free-to-play game while still being sold at a premium price. Last I looked, the game peaked at around 1,100 people on release weekend, and it was getting 300-600 people a day since. People say the combat is good in typical PlatinumGames fashion, but everything else around it is what make it terrible.

RIP. So much for being invested in the game for the long run.
