should work on verizon.. all previous moto phones have worked on verizon..if you just need a basic no frills phone the moto G series are great.. still sporting my G5plus and still enjoying my 3+ days of battery life.

Sale ends today? Still waiting for mine to ship
should ship today. I ordered sat and mine shipped sun. are you getting a case? I use a magnet to mount my phone to my car. right now my phone has a curved back so I have the magnet taped inside the case. but the moto g7 has a flat back so I could not use a case and stick the magnet directly to the phone. that probably wouldnt look good thinking about it now lol.

I'm merging my fiance's plan onto my google fi plan and decided that even though it was 2.5x the cost, the $250 pixel 3a was likely the better buy for us.
I am curious to see what you think about the Moto G7 when they arrive.

I'm guessing the pixel has a better camera. pretty much the same cpu and ram. pixel has oled display, vs the g7 ips lcd. g7 has better screen to body ratio. no nfc on the g7. that could be a deal breaker for some.

Camera is one of my main priorities on a phone, so it'll be nice for her to have a camera that'll be potentially better than my Pixel 2. Her current phone is a moto G5+ and it's camera is awful compared to mine.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VF4Q37P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 i thought the glow in the dark could be cool lol. I just return it to amazon if i hate it lol and yea i use the magnet method for the car as well. (i dont expect any issue there since my current phone is not much different)

So keep it on google fi? Or do a full reset and put it my verizion account? Im thinking the verizion will fair better for reception. As it is in my current room...My verizion current phone has a higher signal...Guess i should put it in the car and see how it does in different places. I would have though google using 3 companys for the network was gonna be better but so far its not.

google fi uses T-Mobile, Sprint and U.S. Cellular from what i googled. verizon would be better. i did read that the g7 has a weaker antenna than some phones. so in fringe areas it could have problems

part of me figures it used them all the same time (like locking onto the strongest tower to me) but i think it does not, because if it did it would have stronger coverage than i was seeing. I find it hard to believe 3 networks combined are still less than just one company. (cause if thats true holly cow there pathetic)

as far as 75 a month is same price i was paying for top unlimited with Verizon pre pay...for about a year i kept getting new address with total shit internet so i was pretty much 100% tethering from my phone. 10-40Mb is still way better than 3Mb which some of these extended stays had. ( i have 100Mb wifi now thank god lol)

Anyways it looks to me the google fi just picks a certain network in the area and uses that for what ever reason..so yea since its just using one network at a time it sucks balls. (unless it works differently after activation)

I have to have the best coverage and speed what ever that option is. (non contract)

Man I wish Moto would make a cheap dual SIM phone.

It sucks there are so little choices in our market.

went ahead and activated it and kept it on google fi.....seems to work ok and oddly enough gets better data speed than Verizon did at the room...Ill see how it does over the month.....right now it seems to mostly lock into sprint towers. Ill pout it back on Verizon if it pisses me off lol.....I dont need to tether the data for time being anyway

should I keep my 25gb of music on a sd card or put it on the phone's internal storage?

Pretty much depends on whether you like timely updates or not. Moto used to be pretty decent and then Lenovo took them over and you might get one if you're lucky. The E and G series has pretty much turned into a disposable phone you use for a year and then buy the next one (not a terrible plan when they are $99). Definitely are never going to confuse the Moto phones for a Pixel when it comes to updates. I have a 3a and love it.

Moto updates suck. $99 is an OK price point. I've had my g6 about 13 months now and it's still "fast" and has received a few updates.

With that being said, I think moto should offer a subscription plan for updates or purchase of a one time update for $10 or something. I'd do it once or twice a year...
