AMD Chipset Drivers Revision Number 1.11.22.0454 are out

Probably 3950X support.

it's for TRX4 i think, the only driver in the package that has a version change is the GPIO driver. though some have said the power plans have slightly changed with cores parking less even though there was no actual change in the power plans that anyone could find.

haven't seen any differernce even with 1.0.0.4 bios update. no time to play moment check out later

Honestly looks like nothing was changed apart from the order...

anyone notice you have to like force to get the AMD SATA drivers installed? otherwise it's just Microsoft Standard ...

Check your Device Manager, i had to manually get these AMD SATA Controller drivers installed:

What are you guys seeing?

I did and notice that in the last two versions I have downloaded they do not have or it can not find AMD SATA drivers.

Is this just for asus boards or all. Asus has had problems in the past and Samsung rapid mode still doesn’t work.

Think it matters? the Microsoft Standard SATA Controller drivers seemed quite outdated

Correction: amd 2017
Windows driver is 2006

wonder if that's why rapid mode still won't work?

I've never installed those assuming they are just for RAID. I probably should read the release notes.

I just installed the new chipset driver. I don't notice anything different (not surprising).

In the past if I wasn’t running raid, I couldn’t install that driver. Maybe things are different now?

*edit* nope things are not different. Cannot install this without tuning raid apparently. Makes sense though.

Thanks for the Info Happy Thanksgiving!

so what's the deal with the SATA Controller drivers then? Leave the Microsoft Standard Controller or manually install the AMD since it's not being installed by default with the Chipset driver installer?

AMD SATA AHCI drivers for AMD 6-Series, 7-Series, 8-Series, or 9-Series chipsets are included in the chipset driver package and is compatible only with desktop systems running Windows® 8.1, Windows 7 or older (depending on chipset).

The AMD SATA controller component is not compatible with and will not be offered nor installed by the chipset driver package on AMD desktop systems running Window® 10 or using AMD Socket AM4 and Socket TR4 chipsets. Forcing a manual driver installation via Device Manager on these systems is not supported and may cause stability and performance issues with some mass storage devices, such as solid-state drives (SSD).

Dude's, ya gotta trust that they know what they are doing when they write these drivers.

Thank you! Just rolled it back and rebooted!
Sticking with the AMD sata drivers here.....always never an issue and in the past had better performance compared to generic Microsoft driver

And for those mentioning rapid mode....that only helps benchmarks, nothing more. I leave all the disk caching apps disabled on purpose on mine. (the os already does this for the most part already)
