im sure they'll fix it in a day or two.FFS. I read some reviews, watch some videos, buy it, 41gb left of the download, and all I'm reading about now is crashes and stuttering. XD
Haha I know the feeling, between my kids and their sports/homework/reading and not wanting to ignore them I do the same thing. The nights I do manage to sit down and game it doesn't happen until 9pm or if I manage some alone time during the day.I use headphones 95% of the time. I've got a young wee-one so I can't really disturb them. I also really cannot play while they're awake. We're pretty strong on the no screen time with them, so that pretty much leaves an hour after bedtime to play. Come winter time, I'll probably take a day or two off of work to game.
We'll see how it pans out. Never played a COD game. I did a BF game years, and years, and YEARS ago. I don't even know which one it was. I was awful. Never got to enjoy it because I was so bad. I'll see how bad this goes I guess.

yay or nay?

FYI Realism mode is still freaking great
Recache did not work for me , MP not affected so I will play that until the next update and then try again since i played SP once alreadyWell this game no longer runs on my machine. You go to start or resume the single player campaign and it crashes to desktop loading the level. I've even gone into safe mode and set everything up again and that doesn't work. Nothing's changed on my system since I installed it. Awesome. Simply awesome.
EDIT #1: Fixed it. I had to restart the game in safe mode and then recache the shaders. I set the options back up and then restarted the mission I was on from the beginning. I'm not sure which thing I did to fix the issue worked but it did.
EDIT #2: I completed the single player campaign last night. It took about 5 or 6 hours. I'm sure you could do it faster if you wanted to. I probably enjoyed the sights a bit too much, and had gotten a little stuck on a couple of the non-shooting missions.
The single player campaign was a damn fine experience. I don't know if I'd say it was worth $60, but that's only because of the short length. However, I will replay it again at some point. It was at least as good if not better than the single player campaign in the original CoD4:MW.

I agree, for the gameplay that i have seen it looks like what appealed to be from the first of the series. This might be the first COD I buy since COD4:MW. The campaign looks phenomenal even though its only like 5 hours long. I might wait for a sale since I probably won't play multiplayer but I really like what I've seen so far.
O don't even have these issues. Only the cutscenes which next scene loads so I'm not too bothered by that.FFS. I read some reviews, watch some videos, buy it, 41gb left of the download, and all I'm reading about now is crashes and stuttering. XD
Troll the fs sections, i got my key for the game for $45 off a fellow H member.I swore myself of COD a looong time ago.
(Don't do it!)
(Don't even think about it!)
(I can't believe I'm thinking about it)
(I might...)

DF's PC Analysis just dropped. I've just been playing with everything completely maxed (DXR on high as well) at 50-70 FPS since I have a Gsync monitor (1440p Ultrawide) I didn't care if it dropped under 60 much, but I may try their optimized settings out to see if I noticed the 15-20% performance boost more than the slightly lowered IQ.
Just as Dan_D and others with top-end hardware have experienced as well, DF also noted the cutscene skipping at the end of the video. I'm about to fire up the game now after the patch yesterday and will try reshading as Dan_D did to ensure a clean install.
very odd, what specs? I just updated my gtx 1060 driversand im having no issues with the game from it, i'd suggest uninstalling the nvidia drivers and trying again.Dont know if its the new update they just pushed or the brand new Nvidia drivers.. But I cant even load a match now with out getting the Dev error.. and now my main screen wont even show my character walking. Its just a black screen..
Sounds like you're having connection issues, nothing related to the game or your hardware. I would contact your ISP to see if they're having any issues or performing any kind of maintenance. There is supposed to be a new DOCSIS version being rolled out, so maybe they are prepping for that if you have internet over cable.I NEED HELP
I bought Modern Warfare on Sunday and played all day and play a few games monday as well. I had some small lag issues but game played ok and looked great. I was running on 1080p which I have no problem at all when running Apex or fornite.
Yesterday I attempted to play and every game I got into would lag like crazy and eventually throw me back in a lobby or crash the entire game. Sometimes I just get completely kicked off my wifi aswell. I dropped all of my settings and nothing has helped at all(nothing running in the background). As far as I understand I should have no issues running this with my PC specs(listed below). One thing I have considered is my internet. My wifi is 200Mbs which is ok but I am using a cheap NETGEAR a6100 adapter on my PC and am wondering if this is the issue. Can someone please point me in the right direction for a fix because I NEED to play some COD.
PC specs:
GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB SC Gaming ACS 3.0 Video card
i5-4590 3.3 GHz Quad Core
Balistix sport 16gb RAM
Transcend- 480 GB 2.5" SSD
PS:I do have enough empty space on my drive(175gb)

Definitely sounds like a networking issue to me. You should hardwire it if at all possible or get a better router/adapter setup at least, esp. if you say you're dropping connection otherwise.
Easy test is to open command prompt (cmd.exe in start menu), then do a constant ping (ping -t 192.168.x.x - whatever your gateway IP is) to your router/gateway and see how many packets you're dropping (ping times out). If you're dropping any packets after 30 secs or so, then you need a better network solution.
