Destiny 2

Scour the Rust for Iron Banner

Then no. The quest is to earn the Iron Banner armor for this season. When you turn in the tokens, you'll get the chance to get armor with potentially better stats than what you dropped by completing the bounties.

Correct, sorry. Are there ornaments or anything we unlock afterward? I took a break from this IB assuming there was nothing else I wanted to chase, loot wise.

Which means the correct answer is “Yes” You literally can not accept the rewards from turning in tokens until after completing that quest line. The fact that the Armor rolls are hidden behind the quest doesn’t change the answer to his initial question.

Did it all on all three, the Enhanced mods alone made it all worth it. Spent a lot of the time working on the Randy's Throwing Knife quest and boy, that's going to take a while.

Finished off th quest chain and cashed in my 300 tokens, only managed to get an enhanced sniper targeting perk :( for mods. Did finally get a swarm with spike grenades, no sure if that's still relevant or not though lol

I'm totally confused by the new armor system. How do i know if a particular piece has good stats. I finished the Iron Banner bounties, but im not sure if I have the good set like Dan mentioned or not.

You'll want to look for total stats over ~55 or so but closer to 60, realistically. Then out of those, determine what you use based on its elemental affinity and specifically strong stat.

For example, if your interests rely around always having your grenade up, you're going to want to look for high Discipline. This works well with the unlimited grenades Voidwalker build.

Thanks man! I've also watched the video you linked on the previous page.

I'm currently working on getting the Ridrix Broadsword pulse rifle. That guns looks sweet for pvp. I got the Recluse yesterday.

I can't seem to start the Forsaken campaign. I don't even own shadowkeep, but the only active story quest I see is The Moon. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure it matters, but the last quest I recall doing was the Kade Ramen quest and Im certain I completed all the warmind and curse of Osiris quests.

In a monumentally stupid decision legacy quests (i.e. not Shadowkeep) are now received from Amanda Holiday in the Tower Hanger.

I guess it reduces icon clutter but it’s a clunky way to handle the old quests.

Thanks man! I did talk to her last night, but still dont see the forsaken stuff on the destination map. Maybe she needs me to do something else first?

Forsaken is actually started by going to the Tangled Shore in Destinations and clicking on a mission I think. I don't remember which one exactly but it isn't in Amanda Holiday's inventory. You will also want to start the Black Armory stuff as well by talking to Ada in the tower because she doesn't get a flashy thing on the mini map either.

I started the black armory stuff, but Tangled Shore is not on my destination map. I think my account is bugged or something.

Okay, I was mistaken. Amanda Holliday has the campaign’s prior to forsaken. Apparently to start forsaken you just go to tangled shore and in the lower portion of the map is a mission called Last Call and that will start it.

edit: Beaten to it. If Tangled Shore isn’t showing up I’m not really sure then. Do you own Forsaken?

I do, it shows up as owned in the Eververse store and steam UI. I've also verified it's ticked on the game dlc portion of the steam ui

Weird. All three expansions are shown in her inventory for me. However, I am not a New Light player and completed all of these campaigns prior to the release of Shadowkeep. The good thing about the Black Armory stuff is that they've simplified it. You only have to unlock the first two forges as part of quest steps. The third and fourth now unlock automatically. When I did it, the unlock quest for the third forge was a pain in the ass. Fortunately, the fourth forge was always unlocked by traveling to it. You definitely want to do the Black Armory stuff as some of the weapons it provides are among the best in the game. The Hammerhead Machine gun is the most versatile in the game, the Blast Furnace is easily the best non-exotic pulse rifle, Izanagi's Burden is the most powerful per shot sniper rifle in the game, the Tatarga Gaze is a great sniper rifle as well. Plus, there are two exotics that drop only in the forges. The armor isn't too bad either for some classes. It was my favorite set on the Warlock. Unfortunately, it can't slot the new season mods for the raid or the nightmares on the moon.

I want the Warlock Black Armory gear so bad. It looks really cool. I'd also like the Baron robes, but Forsaken is a no go atm, I may need to open a support case with Bungie.

Anyone have an adult clan going? I've been in two now but they're packed full of angsty 16 year olds who think if you haven't grinded to 970 already with every waking moment you're some kind of retard that doesn't deserve to live.

Technically I do. It’s me and two other 30 somethings with other responsibilities than this game. But we play on PS4 sooo.

Darn. I'm a 30 something too with a lot of other responsibilities and its really irritating dealing with these kids that don't understand some people work for a living.

I downloaded the F2P version of this last week. Enjoyed it for the most part (largely just bored waiting for Outter Worlds), so I purchased the full game. Is there a Hard OCP Clan, and if so, could I get an invite? (Frraksurred)

I've a ton to learn about this game, it is so splintered trying to learn the ropes is tough. It does not explain itself well imo. Got like two intro missions and just dumped into the Director. I've had to figure most things out watching youtube videos. I have Bounties I have no idea how to fulfill, like "get 20 Arc kills". I cannot find "Arc" on any wepon, armor or mod, so how do I get these? Also, most seem tied to the region or activity you got them from, but they don't note that info on them, so if you get a bunch it's easy to forget where I need to go to complete them.

Still, the actual gunplay is snappy and fun. Wish there was an actual capaign instead of just a daily "story mission", but whatever. Live Service games are slap together affairs anyway.

This heavy bow is hilarious but I can't see myself using this much. That strike boss room sucks.

Arc is the lightning symbol (or ninja star symbol). You can either change it in the top left of the screen, use a weapon in the second slot that has it, or a heavy weapon that has it. Void is the circle thing and Solar is the fire symbol. Generally, it seems that the planet you get them on is the planet they're for but some of them are for the Strikes (Zavala) /Crucible (Shaxx) modes. The gunsmith's (Banshee) ones are any planet.

I do agree they should have kept the structure but if you want the story/campaign mode then there's a red symbol (IIRC) on Earth that you want to start with. You will need to do it solo (which was weird when I tried to do it). The overall order is apparently Red War->Curse of Osiris->Warmind->Forsaken->Shadowkeep.

I've lost track of where exactly I am in the whole thing but I know the first couple of missions brought me in better than "welp. Here you go with no guidance the rest of the way" that the F2P version does.

Yeah, considering how much they talked up New Light and pushed it as one of the main new features of Shadowkeep, they sure did a poor job with it’s execution. I’m a veteran player, but I used New Light to make a Hunter since I had never leveled one before. Even I was a bit confused on what to do when I did it. I assume they thought people would automatically just explore the Tower and talk to the proper NPCs. It’s not a good thing when a player with hundreds of hours on their other characters takes a bit to figure out what they want you to do. Luckily, I don’t care to do the story on my Hunter since I’ve done it on my other 2 characters, so I only had to figure out what I needed to do to get full access to the other main activities.

Any word on an [H] Clan on PC? I started one for our Division 2 group, and I can start one for this group too, but if one exists already I don't want to duplicate. Thanks again.

My buddy from work was a D1 player and I told him to try the new light for free, it took him 3 days to find the main quest and by then he was done with it because the game had no direction at all.

I verified game cache and everything is showing up now. It's odd because I could have swore that was the first thing i did, and on top of that the verification said all was well. Guess I wont look a gift horse in the mouth.

I started a clan the other day and would be glad to send you an invite. Only me and a few friends, late 30s early 40s.

Yeah even back to Destiny 1 vanilla Bungie did an exceptionally poor job explaining certain game mechanics. I get they want it to be a shared experience where you can learn from others but if you’re playing solo there’s a lot of estoteric design decisions.

Even more so now with a lot of the campaigns losing their focus. There’s a ton of content for people to enjoy but it feels like it takes prior knowledge or just pure experimentation.

Hell I remember when I first played D1, seeing that message I was creating orbs of light and having less than no clue what that even meant.

Ya, for noobies, there's a bit to learn. I remember running strikes over and over wondering why I was not leveling up in power.

Buuut. Leviathans Breath is one of the easiest/quickest exotics to get from my memory. It's neat.

The importance of not just doing things for the sake of doing them and focusing on objectives that reward Powerful gear is not nearly stressed enough, unless you don't care about getting to max level.

I think there still is an [H] clan but last I checked it was pretty much dead. Not sure if there has been some activity now that shadowkeep has come out but I think most people have moved on to other clans.

It died when Forsaken dropped, yeah. I'm just in a streamers clan for now.
