You need an AMD product that currently includes the XBox Game Pass promo, and most of the current crop of AMD GPUs and CPUs qualify:

With a qualifying product installed, you can redeem the code at: https://www.amdrewards.com

One note, I've read that you cannot stack multiple XBox promo codes on a single MS account. So if you've already redeemed one of these codes on your account, you might not be able to redeem another one.

Yes, the AMD game rewards do a hardware validation before releasing the code to the recipient. So you have to be running a qualifying piece of hardware. In any case, the game code is sold, and I just have the xbox game pass now.
