STAR WARS Battlefront II - $5.99 two days left - New Coop modes added!

No issues here running great in DX12 on my Vega 64 AIO (maxed @ 4K 85% Trixx Boost / RIS with FPS locked @ 74 fps smooth freesync) and a R9 380 (running surprising well with most settings maxed) Looking great as well! Now a couple Nvidia buddies (1080 and an old 770) both had crashing issues with DX12, but fine using DX11. Coop was pretty fun, asses kicked most of the time... Big update got pushed back a bit. - https://wccftech.com/star-wars-battlefront-2-october-update-delayed/

What do you mean by 4k 85% trixx boost? Do you have resolution scaling enabled so that it automatically adjusts if needed? My 4k setup is with an Asus Strix Vega 64 but I limit it to 60fps with vsync on, since my screen is a Samsung 43 inch TV with no Freesync.

The 1440p appears the best but, I notice once in a while, I get a slight jerk, like something is loading in the background, although I only have SSD's in that computer. Is that normal?
Unfortunately I wouldn't know as I don't even have the horsepower to try playing a game, so hopefully someone else will be able to chime in on it.

One thing I would do if you have a multi-monitor setup is run task manager on the other monitor while you're playing on the main monitor. When you get that jerk, glance over to the task manager and see if you see a spike in cpu on any of the cores. If there is, then that might give you a clue as to what it might be. (y)

There's a error in the article though, as RIS (Radeon Image Sharpening) is currently not compatible with DX11, KitGuru says DX12.

I also don't have the ingame settings - dynamic resolution turned on, I don't want the game dropping rendering res when it thinks it needs to.

Thanks. I am going to disable that dynamic resolution then. I was going to ask if you know of a program that will give me an FPS reading but, then I remembered, I can use AMD Link for that, thanks. (Fraps does not support DX12, I guess and Afterburner would not display the FPS, either.)

strange...after burner always seems to work here now a days

im jealous...i never even sen internet that fast. is it fiber?

Just plain old Spectrum, which I think is all fiber now. I do not have any pay for TV service and I only have Mint Mobile Cell Service, which I only pay $21 a month for. Buffalo, NY area. Yeah, it is not the cheapest, at $94.99 a month, but it is all I have so I can accept that. (Oh, and it is the only choice I have, other than Verzion DSL.)

It appears to display some information on that computer but will not show the FPS, although it is enabled. :( Oh well, not the end of the world and this game is pretty fun. :)

Yeah, I was rather surprised to find that this game has no issues running a 4k60fps on Ultra settings, at least on the single player game. :) In fact, the Vega 64 GPU is not running a full speed all the time because I have capped my system at 60fps and am running vsync, since my Samsung tv has no freesync ability.

Oh, and I can not operate a Tie Fighter with a keyboard and mouse, unless by operating, you mean running into things and exploding. :D

Put a couple of hours into this game tonight. $6 feels like a ripoff.

Did they even program AI for the enemies in SP? The enemies have two states; running at you and standing in the open. I played to the point where you fly the Tie Fighters off of Endor and decided that the SP wasn't worth it after that abysmal space flight section. After that I played a few games of Supremacy and Blast. The graphics are great but the weapons suck, the upgrade system is awful, there is too much clutter on some of the maps that can get you hung up (on the Tatoinne Blast map in particular), the 'you're inside and it's bright outside' effect is the most overdone I've ever seen in a game; you can stand in the doorway and can't even see outside, etc.

Personally I feel that the first Battlefront was much much more enjoyable than this one and even it wasn't exactly great.
