You still would have had to spend $60 on the new expansion with the collector's content if it were still on Battle.net, so I don't understand the complaint. $60 is not close to the double of $100. It's only $40 if you don't want a few extra items.

The complaint is IDGAF about this game and I'm not paying more than I already did but since there's nothing left for me to do anyways I'll just be done again.

I was having issues in comp last night as well. The first 3 or 4 games were fine ... but then i kept getting stuck in this endless loop where it would search for guardians ... it would find a full game ... and then a minute or so later it would reset back to 1/6 looking for guardians again. I had to cancel out of this a few times and then when I finally got into a match about a minute in destiny 2 just flat out closed down. At that point I just gave up for the night.
 
Last night I was having problems with the general enemies blinking out and showing up a good distance away.. same with rando blue berries milling around Mars. Ooooh well.
 
I feel like you guys are just having bad luck. I've been playing quite a bit with friends, and no one has really had any issues after the first day.
 
Im wondering if this might be regional issues. Not sure where everyone lives but its just odd that it seems to be certain people having issues and some of us have no issues at all.
 
Zero problems after the first afternoon. Also, you don't need to pay $60 for Shadowkeep, just pay $35 for the basic no extra season pass version and buy the pass later if you want to keep playing after the next 3 months.

If you were realy gone for 2 years you should have free access to the previous expac (forsaken) and all new stuff that that brought. I do think that making a paid expac every year and paid annual pass is pushing it (at current rates anyways)

Except Destiny has been following the annual season pass concept since its inception, so I still do not understand the outrage all of a sudden when the game just moves platforms.

Still, it's your decision to make and you can make it for whatever reason you want.
 
I've never seen "Destiny 2 temporarily filled to capacity please wait a moment" before just now.

Obviously maintenance. I can see it on their Twitter feed and so forth.





It was inevitable it would be choppy with such a huge transition.

I'm not outraged, just disappointed. I'm trying not to spend so much on games and I thought maybe I would go back and play this some more. Until I thought about it earlier this week and looked up what was happening in the game now I had no idea it even changed platforms. I was excited for the platform change because I didn't have to download yet another launcher.

Look at it this way. If you like the game and enjoy playing it spend the money on this one and skip a title that you are on the fence about. I myself probably won't buy shadowkeep but I still enjoy messing around and going after some of the exotics that i can achieve. I like bungie so i will support what they are doing. Shadowkeep just didn't appeal to me much. I am also waiting for the right moment to pre-order Cyberpunk 2077.....(i have 5 kids so my money is non-existent.)

Yeah I was trying to play a little but I keep getting kicked off the server. I'll come back to it later on again I guess, I did have fun playing it when it first came out but it got a little repetitive for me. I am also greatly looking forward to 2077, seems like its going to be really fun.
 
Well, went from ~400 glory to 2022 tonight. No network issues at all and ended that on a 5 game win streak. My clan advised me to just wait until reset and get the free bump. I can do that. Anything to cut a little bit of that anxiety when it gets all shweaty. Then I should have Recluse.
 
Would anyone happen to know the state of Year One (base Destiny 2) and Year Two (Forsaken) Pre-Order and Deluxe edition item availability?

I'm to understand that the original Destiny 2 base title Pre Order items (Coldheart rifle) and the Digital Deluxe edition items (I think it was a sword, banner, ghost shell?) are all available in New Light, able to be obtained by new players as well?

Forsaken is the one I'm most curious about. I know Forsaken has a Pre Order Pack (ie Cayde-6's Stash, which has like 4 items or so) and its own Digital Deluxe items? Are all of these either included in the purchase of the Forsaken DLC via Steam from the beginning, or available to obtain for anyone with said DLC through play?

Obviously those importing accounts from BNet that have these pre order or deluxe items will of course have them from the start, but I hope they are either included or able to be earned in game for newcomers to the title on Steam.
 
The pre-order stuff for Forsaken is periodically available from the Eververse store for Bright Dust, which is earned by completing missions in game. I didn't pre-order Forsaken, and got all the pre-order stuff that way. The Ace of Spades, (although this must be earned in the Crucible), the Last Hand ornament for it, the Queen of Hearts jump ship, the shader, and the emote were all purchased this way.
 
What a hilarious little puzzle it is to get the raid exotic trace rifle. How the heck that was all figured out blows my mind.

Thanks Dan_D. Its good to know the pre-order stuff is all available without additional purchase. Any idea of the Digital Deluxe stuff?
 
Anyone interested in doing the new raid? I need at least one, possibly two people to fill in. If you've done the raid before, even better. PM me if interested.

Apparently the Deluxe version of Forsaken came with a handful of things aside from the Season Pass and Pre Order etc. From what I read they are..

Wraith Majestic Legendary Bow Ornament
Dirge Paladin Emblem
Vestian Ghost Shell
 
Ok I said screw it and bought Forsaken and the Moon one. Hopefully the servers cooperate now. Does anyone know how to remove legacy mods from items? I canned all the ones in inventory but I don't know how to get them off of stuff. Kinda weird seeing everything be base level 750 now.
 
I gotta say, i haven't had any issues with connection or drop outs. Overall, I'm impressed that they were able to pull this off.
 
Last night my raid team had two people who kept suffering those anteater and buffalo errors. They kept getting booted at the final phase of the Shiro-chi fight in the Last Wish raid. So we had to run that three more times than was necessary as a result.

I was getting centipede errors. Seems to be better now except the tower still takes 15-20 minutes to load.
 
Guess I should find a clan, I was the only member left of the one I used to be in.
 
It probably goes without saying, but really digging the Recluse. Trying to talk the rest of the clan folks into giving it a go. At least one other has acquired it so far.
 
Its almost as though bringing the game to the largest, most open/customer-respecting, and most comprehensive platform on PC is an advantage, coming from of yet another 1st-party launcher-du-jour (and one ham-fisting Activsion titles aboard it at that; it would have been better if BattleNet stayed just for Blizzard, if they were going to run a launcher of any sort). This is good news in any case, and also serves as an argument against the muck-slinging accusations from Epic that games can't thrive on Steam and whatnot.

EDIT: Even if I don't rack up a ton of hours, it's worth the $35 to me just to help Bungie stick it to Activision.

Or you know making everything pre shadowkeep free to play may have something to do with it but who knows.

But that could of just as easily bumped up console numbers as well since it went free on all platforms not just PC. I think it's a combo of both the swap to steam and going free that boosted it but going steam was definitely a good move
 
I did my first forge ignition yesterday as well as my first 6 man pve with the Vex offensive. Fun stuff. I think I am going to try for my first Nightfall tonight.

I have been pretty hesitant of trying anything group related because I don't want to be an anchor lol.
