Destiny 2

That was, for me at least, super seamless!

Everything was there, hopped right in etc. (y)

Seems well to me.. the whole nightfall match was an immediate PITA.. some jackass was way behind in kills, falling off the map, and little to no help in brachion. Then the SOB leaves.

That 750 NF is no joke in difficulty.

Smooth now for me. Went right back to getting one shotted in pvp!
wait you can get one-shotted now? I haven't played the game for a year. I remember it being like everyone is a bullet sponge.

Its stupid how fast leveling is. Getting to 900 in a bit then moving to next character.

Here's hoping for the best on raiding Day 1!

I guess i don't get to play anymore tonight. I keep crashing as soon as i spawn in on the moon. :(

Trying to decide between doing Powerfuls or moving to character 2.

So, since I've slacked and really not done my homework on the update. We rocket up power levels to 900, similar to how Forsaken was from 400-500, right? Then from 900-950 is the actual grind? Also have no idea how this armor or anything works, lol.

Got to play a good bit last night. It felt like it took a long time to find gear with a decent power increase. Once I got past 800, pieces seem to be coming much faster.

I also found myself wasting way too much time comparing gear. I committed to just equipping the highest power gear for now so I could focus on the grind. (I think i'm going to head back a few pages and track down that gear plugin someone linked lol)

DIM or Destiny Item Manager. Destiny is maddening without it and for most of yesterday Bungie had the API disabled so it wasn't working.

Havi g to use the actual Vault at the Tower is a terrible experience. I'm hoping it's working again today.

But yeah, don't bother with stats on any of your armor right now, you're swapping it out so often it doesn't matter.

From what I can tell, yes.

Hi guys. Sorry if this has been answered, but dumb question do I have to re-download the entire game? So uninstall from battlenet and install from Steam? I fired up steam and it says install 80 gigs. I bought the game and annual pass a while back. I didn't mess around too much and just came here to ask. Thanks.

Yes, it's all new files.

I didn't get too much time on it last night maybe 45 minutes, but I was able to log in and had no issues. I really just opened the landing zone on the moon now its time to quest. Trying for the mountaintop really sucked the life out of the game for me, and I have just recently been back into it. I have the other 2 objectives done for the mountaintop and i'm sitting at 99% for the multi-kill objective .... talk about rage inducing. Grinding crucible when you only need 1 more freaking GL multi-kill and not getting it game after game.

Gotta say from a sys-admin perspective, how well the migration actually was accomplished impressed me. Migrating from one platform and its entire userbase to another, while also upgrading to a whole new version/deployment, and *also* expecting a huge influx of new users at the same time?

I'm amazed it went as well as it did. Whoever managed it should write up a paper on it.

Well I couldn't play at all Tuesday and was still getting the "Contacting Destiny Servers" message yesterday. Not too impressed just yet. I do like the feel of the tweaked handcannons now, more so than before. I think I've gotten to about 811 though, but getting bumped out gets old.

Edit: I couldn't play at all Tuesday, I did manage to get in yesterday although it was still a pain.

It's bizzare people are still getting bumped out or can't connect. It's been flawless since Tuesday night here.

Just got my first 'one moment please, at capacity' messages since the move. Woohoo! Do I get to tick off a triumph for 'legit reason to complain online' achievement? Hahaha

Only issue I've had was all the vendors in The Tower didn't spawn for about 90 seconds when I spawned in. I thought I missed a huge campaign event or something lol

I had the same issue Trick_m0nkey had when I finally got on Tuesday. It took like 10 minutes to get from orbit to The Tower and another 5 minutes for vendors and players to load.

Luckily I haven't had any trouble since.

No, there was emergency maintance this morning. They post about that stuff on the BungieHelp account.

So far enjoying the leveling pace, just got my 3rd armor piece for the story missions and hit 835. Cashing in all my tokens before starting the story really helped lol, Hoping to hit (or atleast get close to) 900 by the end of the story.

This guy didn't realize there was a set needed for a certain mission and has been dismantling them as I've gotten higher gear. Oops. I saw that and just turned it off.

I actually got a kick out of seeing all the stuff I had bought prior to migration being there. I was afraid I was going to have to buy Forsaken again.

Once you unlock all 5 you can just rebuy them from Eris. I'm did this anyways since the ones Eris sold were higher power than the ones I had

LOL Zavalas token game was giving me more armor than Shaxx :p

I had the opposite experience. I got multiple sets of armor from Shaxx. As a result I'm wearing this season's Crucible armor. One thing I noticed quickly, is that all armor from the previous season, even in 2.0 form doesn't have the last mod slot to accept activity mods from this season. It's the slot with the Vex head silhouette. I wouldn't bother masterworking anything without that slot and I wouldn't advise even collecting armor from previous seasons outside of the Gambit Prime armor if you play that. At least that serves a specific purpose.

Congrats to the team who beat GoS!

Meanwhile, we're taking a break before beating our heads against the wall on the 3rd encounter some more.

13 hours later, had to call it at the boss encounter. Execution with how tired we were was making things worse. We'd get to a damage phase but, and you'd have to see how it works, most of our land was missing and it was just messy as hell. By far the most beautiful raid Bungie has ever done. Absolutely stunning.

Time to sleep.
