Something like the thermaltake lvl 20 but with vertical gpu support and a better front panel?

Any case can if you mount the rad on the right panel, outside the case.
It will also get cooler air and let the rest of your PC breath easier.
Its easier to clean the radiator, fans and the inside of the PC.

The razer edition appeals to me. Wonder if I can run all the water lines behind the case hmmm

That's not a bad price for the Razer version. The non-Razer version (the one I have) can be had closer to $120.

$150 probably the lowest it been. It is $170 at microcenter. I am personally going to get the new XL version for $200 once it actually becomes available.
Yeah I used to go big, now I like to keep things small compact and neat.

Pulled the trigger on the dynamic razer,

Now the pain of trying to sync Corsair fans with a gigabyte gaming 7,
I have the little controller for them.

Question on gpu mounting, do I need a kit or does it come off and mount side ways?

If it's the Z170 version you don't have any RGB headers on that mobo(that I could find). With you saying you have the little controller, I am going to assume Lighting Node Pro along with the 6 RGB connector that comes in the 3 packs?

If you do in fact have both those pieces then it will be as simple as connecting it to the mobo via an internal USB connection and installing the iCUE software.
