Hey guys,
Been shopping for some new monitors for at work. Currently they have me on dual 1080p Gateway TN panels...yes..Gateway. It's way past time to upgrade and throw these in the dumpster. Planning on going Dual 4K 32" IPS.
90% of my time is in SolidWorks Modeling/Drawings.
List of candidates:
https://pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#r=384002160&W=3000,3500&P=2
I'm torn between the BenQ PD3200U ($650) and the Dell U3219Q ($700)...they both seem nearly identical spec wise...leaning towards the Dell because it seems the BenQ is a bit more dated connectivity wise and a shade less on the specs.
Are the $1000+ monitors worth the extra cash? What makes them so special? (Asus ProArt PA329Q ($1065), LG 32UL950-W, $1100) First glance it seems they're all about color reproduction, which I guess I don't really care too much about, but I like the idea of getting up into this $700 tier where monitors are pre-calibrated and don't look like shit out of the box.
For reference I use an LG 34GK950F at home, a great balance between gaming & work. I figure I'll go for 4K at work being I'm not buying, and won't need a 2080Ti to drive it, but still plan on getting them to fork out for a new RTX 4000. I fear my lowly Quadro K620 will be a slide show on Dual 4K screens.
