review embargo lifts 4 full days before release...
Not always but usually it's a good sign for a game when the reviews are allowed out before release. Recent example: Gears 5.

2K is confident they paid the reviewers enoughNot always but usually it's a good sign for a game when the reviews are allowed out before release. Recent example: Gears 5.
Heh. I realize I'm in a weird state of denial - excited it's finally out after so many years of waiting, but knowing I won't be playing on release day unless I re-buy a console before Friday. Because I'd rather throw my RTX2080 in a landfill than validate a gloating Tim Sweeney's hostage tactics. If BL3 puts up less than embarrassing numbers on EGS then the forced exclusives and bribery bullshit will never end.F.U Epic!

This is one of those rare instances I actually wished the publisher did use their high profile sequel to start their own store/downloader, I don't care about game consolidation on Steam anymore.
lol nobody cares. It's going to be huge and you're going to feel left out and end up buying it.

Couldn't agree more. I couldn't give a crap what store has it, I'm buying it and probably day 1 and doubt I'll regret it. Borderlands 2 was virtually a perfect game and even if it's only half as good as 2 (ie the pre sequel) it'll be worth the money.
Never did understand the nerd rage over this game or any being a Epic/Steam/GOG/UPlay/Origin or whatever exclusive. I just want the game.
This is cringeworthy.Heh. In terms of least-worst options, this is one of those rare instances I actually wished the publisher did just start their own launcher/store and sell the game on there - to hell with launcher fragmentation.

I added you. Anyone can add me. Amarvin250Man I wish this was out already, I have NOTHING to do today!
I also have no one to play with this with, hoping I can friend up and play with some of you, don't have a single friend on the Epic launcher lol, feel free to add me if you're looking for people to play with. few35t
Forgive my ignorance to the BL series, but is this like a "Diablo"-esque loot grinder type of game, but in FPS format?
After all the backlash from the EGS exclusivity deal, they'd have to have some major balls to lift the embargo 4 days before release if it's actually shitty game and they're bribing reviewers for high scores. This isn't EA we're talking about here...
Sometimes people forget how to sit back and have fun.the polygon review is pretty damn harsh

Borderlands 3 does not feel like a total transformation for the series, just an evolution. And that may leave some part of it stuck in the past, but overwhelmingly, it’s a game that’s still a blast to play, particularly for those into the loot shooter genre. It’s easy to see that with Anthem on life support and The Division 2 in limbo, that the next few years may be a Destiny V. Borderlands horse race. The differences between the two may be large in many ways, and yet yes, they definitely are competitors, as there are only so many hours in the day and both demand a large amount of time if you want to farm their respective endgames. It’s going to be a genuinely tough decision which of these to devote my time to if both keep being as engaging as they’ve been so far.
But that’s what we call a “good problem.” Borderlands 3 was worth the wait and will be a fixture in this genre for years to come. And I think few fans of the last two will be disappointed when they get their hands on it at last.
