This is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time, about a year ago. I had a problem with the stand out of the box & Acer chat support got me a brand new one in ~ days with no need to send the old one back. I highly recommend this monitor if you plan to go with Green Team for your GPU choice.

Is this the model that has a TN and IPS variant with the same model number? In any case, double check the panel type.

The deal is for the IPS panel, according to Amazon. The link specifically says WQHD IPS

The bmiprz in the model number is what indicates IPS. I picked up one of these a year ago. Still love it.

Couldn't agree more.

I also have a VA panel, 1080p, freesync I use for another box. I tried No Man's Sky on the VA panel and almost threw up after playing 5 hours on this IPS panel.

Can you elaborate? Were you getting motion sickness or something like that?

This.
I just changed to a 27" 1440P 144Hz VA panel from a 23" 1080P 60Hz panel.
The improvement is astounding, and this is in NMS that I am running it.

I've been using this monitor for over 2 years now. Purchased mine refurbished off of eBay from Acer. Still one of the best options out there.

This is one of the monitors I have been watching. But I am still holding to see what new monitors drop in October. I am still trying to decide between going UW or staying with a 27". I don't just game, so I want something for work and play.

If you don't game, I'm not sure why you are considering this. Get something with 10-bit color & 60hz & save a bunch of money.

Sorry, wasn't clear. I meant I would use it for gaming and work, so am looking for a monitor to cover those general use items. I don't do much with PS anymore, so I'm trying to downsize monitor count.

Ok, I'd think then it would probably be a good fit :)

Black Friday is coming as welll and probably will see better deals then.

Which monitors are you waiting for? I am also in the market for a 1440P 144hz Monitor 27". I am very interested in the Pixio PX7, looks like a ridiculously good monitor.
