Intel’s Next-Generation ‘Cascade Lake-X’ HEDT CPUs due in October

Marketing is based on the original msrp of 2nd gen threadripper, so by the time they are actually released, cascade lake hedt will no longer be near these claims as retailers like to firesale old gen threadrippers, especially with black friday around the corner.

The only way performance per dollar increases that drastically is to drop the price (a very un-Intel thing to do). Either that or play the benchmark game with one benchmark that the new chip fares particularly well in.

So more cores, possibly slight clock increase, slightly lower msrp?

Don't think they can do much else atm

With slightly better performance and these claims, we should see the 10 core part around $550 and the 18 core part at $1100.

Even with a huge price drop, Intel falls short if the $377! 2920x and $931 2970x. Then we will get Zen 2 TR which will see similiar $/performance SC, but better $/performance MT as the upcoming CCLx parts.

TR 2 will be insane, with a huge uplift. Don't see how Intel will compete with the same flawed architecture full of holes.
