Was wondering if anyone could recommend a good backup solution for MS Server Essentials 2016 system? Our server is running on a Dell PowerEdge T330 Server machine.

Thanks

I'm not sure about your specific needs, but we've been using Veeam products and have been very happy with them.

Thanks. At the moment considering either AOemi backup, Acronis backup for server, or Macrium Server backup. They all cost between 170 - 275 dollars. The main issue for me is if the recovery environment will recognize the raid array and restore to it. Thanks.

Definitely look into Veeam. The license is going to depend on if this is a physical or virtual server, so look into that. I think they have either some free or demo stuff for smaller implementations.

I see its a physical server. Veeam is ok with them, but its nothing stellar. I have a few physical hosts pointing at Veeam and it works well enough, but it really shines when you are backing up VM's and data held within them. I believe the upcoming 10.0 release will add more features to their physical agents.

Another vote for Veeam. Great company and very easy to use software.

I've tried Veem free twice now. The first time it claimed the OS wasn't supported (Windows Server 2008r2), the second time it simply refused to install at all!

It definitely looks the goods, but buggered if I can get it to install.
