Cyberpunk 2077 – Deep Dive Video

watched the feed and it looked terrible.Sure everyone else was watching it sttill interested in the game.will go back to youtube and watch again after a while.

agree looks like shit, johney looks like a late copy and paste add in (which it is)
already bought it on steam for only 9.99 (used bonus's from last big steam sale to lower its price so meh, no big loss if its console port trash)

Graphics look like complete ass and I'm hoping that's because they demoed it on a console (why?!?!). As for the gameplay, it's hard to judge because they used a controller and the fights looked like shit you'd see on a cell phone game (terrible). The rest of the video emphasized choices affecting outcome which is nothing new in a game like this. This definitely lowered my hype and expectations for this game considerably.
 
Don't know what the fuck anyone is talking about saying the graphics don't look good. Maybe don't watch the video at 240p. Its nothing mindblowing, but it looks good. Based on some prompts seen on the screen it looks like they're running it on a PS4, probably the Pro. Animations seem fairly standard fair for now.

What are you talking about? Cell phone? Have you ever seen a cell phone game?
 
Good enough. I'm going to buy it and play it because I haven't played a new game all summer. I have a narrow taste in games.
 
Hope the game is good.. 7 years of development and alot of Hype :O
 
I skipped ahead and landed on 4:11... bad luck maybe, that shot of the bike looks like ps3 graphics... maybe higher resolution, but the flat, unshaded textures and sky, fake looking shadows and surfaces....

skipping around more the rest looks much better... I'll wait for review as always, don't wanna watch more to avoid spoilers. hoping the best as well, for fans and the studio...

These graphics are fucking atrocious for a 2020 game. Even GTA V looks better in a lot of places than this shit and like I said in my previous post, I'm hoping it's because they stupidly decided to demo this game on a shitty console rather than an RTX based PC (which is what they should have done). Low poly models, low res textures, absent lighting, I could go on and on, it looks like a 2013 game:

I just hope CD Projekt Red isn't chasing after the almighty dollar and dumbing down this game as some console trash port. Whoever decided to greenlight this demo using a PS4 should be fired.

Want to get even more angry. This same video is on NVidia channel, and they are saying this was done on RTX 2080 Ti, with RTX on:

^nah, looks like screen-space reflections, at around 3:17

there are also some other obvious lighting issues, like overcast sky and blurry shadows on some objects but harsh shadows from NPCs, and complete lack of shadows on other things

Don't shoot the messenger. I agree, that doesn't look like RTX effects, but that is what NVidia YT channel is claiming.

Though do note the disclaimer running all through the video:

"Work in progress - does not represent final look of the game"

could be enabled but only for certain things... RTX != completely unified 100% accurate lighting everywhere... there are likely bias settings to save performance, so for example smaller objects don't cast shadows. It's a typical setting in renderers I've worked with anyways...

Some comments say it’s RT global illumination only.

I wasn’t wowed by the graphics in any of the videos so far, I was hoping it was more gameplay/story appeal.
 
The world looks interesting, the graphics look shit. Hope PC looks FAR better. And I mean FAR better.
 
I'm not going to pretend I won't play it because I will. CD Projekt has earned my trust. Still . . . definitely not all that jazzed over the video.
 
I don't need the fanciest of graphics, though it certainly helps, and I'd hope that they could make great graphics to take advantage of the modern hardware. I'm more into gameplay and compelling story, which is unfortunately lacking in many modern games. If CDPR does indeed do this as a console first/PC second, I'll be very disappointed.

Haven't watched this particular video in full. For full DX feel, it'll need to be neck deep in conspiracy theories. What I've gotten so far from CP 2077 is more dystopian than grand conspiracy.

True, it was more from a gameplay/UI perspective. Plot-wise I don't think it'll be that similar, though I'm sure there's still a "what does it mean to be human when half of you is a machine" thread in there, as with most cyberpunk works.
