Whos playing?

I thought I'd log in, remember everything that sucked about it, and then log off. Instead of played a couple hours last night, played during my lunch hour, and can't wait to go home and play more. It's a feeling I haven't felt in a long time.

I thought about it. I played WoW for 15 years off and on, started with the Beta way back in the day. Then I thought to myself. I've done everything there is to do in Classic WoW.

I subscribed to SWTOR instead. Having a blast with that game.

Also, I'm still a bit salty with Blizzard for totally dialing in Diablo 3.

Pick a low population server. I got on one of the new ones and had no wait time last night or today.

on mankrik horde, gnomerpiles or putz#1218

long as ques

I had the same feeling, thought I'd play for a bit and get bored with it but stayed up until 1am playing. Haven't done that in a very long time. I re-subbed to retail last year and just couldn't get into it for some reason. Maybe because everything had changed so much, not sure. I think I big reason classic is so much fun right now is because there are so many people in the starting zones, really feels like launch all over again.

I started up on Rattlegore last night, was a new server so no queue. Today it has 4K people in the queue so it doesn't look like I'll be playing tonight :)

Its been 15 years for me, when wow Vanilla came out, unless my memory went shit, I never remember 3 hour que time's.

I've switched server's 3 times now, Blizzard underestimates launch wow classic.

I'm not overall impressed, Blizzard dropped ball.

I read on forums that Blizzard has stated that they are not turning up more servers on purpose. They know there is a large number of "tire kickers" that will play for an hour, a day or two, or a couple of weeks and then stop playing. And then there would be many servers with little to no population left which isn't fun for the remaining people on the server.

When SWTOR launched years ago they had tons and tons of servers, when the hype died down it took them a year to get the remaining players to half a dozen servers so they could actually play with someone.

the hype will die downhere too and for those who want to keep playing you want them to have players to play with or it will fail hard like SWTOR did. Now luckily blizzard already has the tech to move players if n,eeds be.

Screw that. I'd wait another two months before I sign up for that crap.

Saw an article today with someone from Blizzard basically confirming that. They know a chunk people will drop within the first or two months and they would rather deal with a long queue problem then a under population problem down the line. I got in no problem last night, but when I left the server, saw that it was full and probably had a queue waiting.

Addictive as hell this game. Remade my original Hunter since they fucked them over when burning crusade came out. Having a blast. Got in queue on Fairbanks when I got home, 12k queue. Cleaned some house, ate dinner, played some piano, and was surprised that I was on the character screen! One quest turned into another and suddenly it's 1230, fuck! I opened TeamViewer this morning so I can hop in queue today before ever leaving work ;)

Seen this guy showing off mounts in this game to see who had the most he had 850 or more mounts some the devs didn't even have.

I just can't do it. Played the closed beta, played launched. Raided hardcore all the way through wotlk before I went full on casual. Buffing a 40 person raid every 2.5 minutes blows. I like a lot of the new quality of life changes the last few years. I'm nostalgic for the early 20s no responsibility time of my life this game represented, but not really the game itself.

I'm sure he has a ton of mounts, 497 seems to be what you can obtain currently in game that are usuable by a single character (400 is the highest you need achievement wise).

Maybe it was pet's? I have over 1k of those (different ones that is)

Literally me last night:

I honestly expected worse last night, having waited in queue for 5 hours before getting to log in, but even being a single day "late" to the party, the beginning zones were entirely manageable. Busy, but not packed.

It also seems that for as much as they said #nochanges, they definitely increased the spawn rate of mobs, quest items, etc to handle the high quantity of players.

For the record, I have had zero que/wait-times logging in to Sulfuras.

Seems like a good server..

I will multibox it in a month or so when queues are gone and more servers are added and addons are stable.

The streamer thing won’t matter in a month or so. They will move on and leave the server with a dead population when the people following them leave too. I checked in with Sodapoppins stream last night. He’s been begging for vanilla wow for years and years now. He finally has it and all he does it complain about it now. Him and the rest of them will be gone soon enough.

Hope so, they're not in it for the enjoyment, but for the subs and the table scraps. I'll give it a good six months or so. Or atleast until PVP is viable. Then, then I shall make my return to Goldshire.....No one will be safe.

Yeah the streamers don't even matter now. They just get lost in sea of humanity. Servers are so flooded they and all their followers are only a blip.

Meanwhile, yeah, Classic has been good as long as you can get in. I got to 11 in a night on Grobulous (rppvp) but it was so jammed with people I could never get back online. Went to Deviate instead, got to 16 and no queues so far, and it's felt a lot more like a vanilla environment. Since it wasn't in the original server list, no big guilds or preparation happened so everything has been organic.

Yeah he needs some quiet time away from the screen he bought a Logitech like a G303 pro mouse for 400.00 thinking it would make him better at Apex legends.

I celebrated WoW Classic's release by resubbing to FFXI. Started up at 2000 and didn't go to sleep until 0330. Got 2.5 hours of sleep for work.

I'll check this out once the hype dies down. I never got into WoW until later in its life, so I'd like to see what the game was like back in its heyday.

Owning business has ton plus sides,

I get up around 6am, theres no que, take day off lvl hard core work weekends and take few week days off. Problem fixed for me

Got to level 13 last night. Made the run from Teldrassil to Westfall.. PHEW!

I did however use the 'shortcut' which, for as much as i have played this game and as many times as i've done the standard run (Darkshore > Wetlands > Loch Modan > Dun Morogh > Elwynn > Westfall), I cannot believe i never knew about it. You basically swim away from Menethil Harbor and find this little nook at the top of the Dun Morogh zone where it zones you in, drown yourself, and then spirit res! Worked like a charm and cut out that treacherous Wetlands gauntlet.

I decided to rejoin for 3 months. The last time I played was right before the first expansion came out. I start a new job in a week, so won't have much time to grind anymore, which is practically what WoW is all about.

I happened to have started on Azuresong, which is one of two low population servers. Good in that there's no waiting. Bad in that there's no one to group with.
