Turned my mining rig off a couple days ago. Not covering electricity right now.

hiatus until profits come back...?
or
maybe the gold rush is over...

.13 kwh

And my miners are fighting my house A/C — so figure 1/3 more.

Start blowing the heat outside
Never understood why people have AC etc but can't do that one simple trick... a blower, dryer pipe and a opening outside is all you need. Costs hardly anything running a 100-200w blower vs 2kW+ of AC

I suspect that comes out as a wash -- that air you are blowing outside with your high speed duct fan has to come from somewhere. So it's replenished by drafts from the outside throught cracks, vents, attic vents etc. You still have to cool that incoming air. Pulling in a bunch of air from your roof attic for instance into the house to be cooled by the A/C isn't going to be that much different in the summer than just running the GPUs in the house. It might be worse. If your duct fan is too powerful certainly.

My rigs are in my garage in SW florida, the GPUs stay in the high 50's to high 60's. I have a pair of exhaust fans with outside vents and a pair of box fans blowing on the rigs.

Possibly the most efficient thing you can do is have your AC suck in the hot air from the PC so it will transfer more heat than just sucking in ambient air from the room. Besides this, by far the best thing to do is put them in an unairconditioned part of the house like the garage.
Mining anything hasn't been profitable for a long long time. I think most people still mining are either doing POS coins or hoping there is another boom so that this loss they are taking now will one day turn a profit.

That's simply not true. GPU mining has been quite profitable until just recently. Unless your power is crazy expensive, mining with NVIDIA cards from the last couple generations is still profitable. Not terribly profitable, but profitable nonetheless.

They have little to no value, because they have little to no use.

1080Ti's still profitable - barely, one ASIC is still profitable other ASIC not.

Things can change fast and I prefer that fiat money stay stable, if not then Crypto might have a good shot but a dollar backed by something would probably be best overall. Frankly Crypto has failed as a currency, the utter price unpredictability makes using it as a currency terrible. The stable coins if actually backed should fare much better for currency use, except they will never go to the moon :D, making Crypto folks not want to bother with them.

There are use cases which are being tested, unbanked, transfers of funds, assets, smart contracts that can make Crypto worth while in the long run (small subset of the current over populated projects).
