Black Forest Gummy Bears - So Soft, So Supple - you know you love them - $8 for 6lbs.

They're not bad but I still prefer Haribo ... and only the made in Germany ones (skip the made in Turkey ones - they just don't taste the same).

Haribo are a good alternative texture for gummy bear indulging.

I'm a bigger fan of the black forest ones for flavor. They're Juicy and the right amount of sweet. Haribo are lighter on the sweetness and a little tougher so they don't get stuck everywhere in your teeth.

Black Forest is more readily available near me, so I usually have them. However, I do prefer Haribo.

Fun fact, the turkey ones are made with beef gelatin and the Germany ones are pork gelatin. Could be why they don’t taste the same!

I don't mind their organic ones, but I don't really care for their standard ones.

And yes they do taste different and no it's not my imagination. The ingredients list is generally different.

another fun fact....Turkey is primarily a Moslem country, and for the most part, 'dem mozzies don't do da oinky oink no where, no way.... they thinks it is a filthly animal since it doesn't have sweat glands and therefore cannot release certain toxins from their bodies like many other domesticated livestock

Germans OTOH, well, theys be seriously woofin on da schwein big time, hahaha :ROFLMAO: :p :D

This is not conjecture, speculation, or assumptions on my part, but is based on my experiences from living in both countries for multiple years each.....

Keto, my friend. It's the cheat code I'd wished I'd found in my 20's rather than 40's.

That said, only Haribo is worth the calories -- still the original. I retired from gummies but used to put them in freezer or refrigerator. Weinland is my favorite variety of all time, they're amazing if you can find them, but they're not allowed to be sold in U.S. stores due to FDA having a problem with the wine themed product packaging (not kid friendly) plus a trace amount in the ingredients.

Damn with that subject line for a second I didn't know what we were talking, gummy bears or t1tt1es!

If you do NOT like someone, like REALLY do not like them. Kill them with kindness and buy them the biggest bag of SUGAR FREE Haribo gummy bears you can get. The universe will take care of the rest.
Do they even still make them?

Also, a more relevant question to the thread...

Are the Black Forest gummy bears peanut safe?

Don't knock the question, most candy that has nothing to do with peanuts are not peanut safe.

Nope... This applies to both the regular and organic products.

depends on which place they were produced at, some of them are, some aren't but they should be labeled accordingly.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS FREE OF ALLERGENS?

Ferrara Candy Company (our parent) maintains several manufacturing and packaging facilities - some are free from some or all of the "Big 8" allergens but others are not. So please refer your product packaging, as it contains the most current ingredient and allergen statements.

The amazon reviews for those... I mean I knew about "the phenomenon" from a few years ago, but the reviews just get better and better. XD

Who the fuck needs or eats 6 pounds of gummy bears?!

*Raises hand* Might take me a long ass time to eat 6lbs of gummy bears, but they will eventually get eaten. And if I happen to get tired of them I'll just put them in the breakroom at work and they'll vanish within a day or two.

Dammit I can't believe I missed this--wife always needs candy for work peeps.

You can also get this 6lb bag of Black Forest gummy bears at Sam's Club in store for basically the same price.

I bit on this one.. Hope my coworkers and friends like deep eddy lemon vodka infused gummy bears.

OK so I actually did this because the gummys showed up next day(Saturday). I used Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka, and then picked up some Gin that happened to be rose marry infused. I used cheap 6oz canning jars because I knew I wanted to give them away. I was able to jam about 3oz of gummys into each jar and eye balled a 3oz poor of booze. Sealed the lids and let them sit. I sampled both a few hours later on Saturday, some on Sunday, and some yesterday.

Result? You can't just stick your hand into the jar and pull some out, you need a spoon. Good news? They came out really freaking awesome. I feel like because I used really good alcohol, they don't taste like rubbing alcohol or anything. No 2 buck chuck. Bad news? As time is going on, they appear to be dissolving into 1 giant jelly. Which actually I don't think will be super terrible. I'm a huge fan of Topo mixed with Deep Eddy vodka, and I cant wait to jam a bunch of these super mushy gummys into the topo bottle. Maybe having them floating in some other mixed drink? Maybe add them to jello shots.. Who cares. I'm pretty happy with the end result and my friends who got free jars were very happy with them.

Can you eat a whole jar in one sitting? It works out to 3 shots of booze, so the answer is an absolute yes, but its very sticky sweet and syrup-y.. You'd get more sick from the sugar first before the booze has a moment to kick in. Its a novelty, its fun, and it has a lot of wow factor, but that is about it. I would / will do it again. I still have 2lbs of the 4lbs of gummy bears left to give away. =)
