Just curious what kind of gains are being made?
Temps?
Overclockability?
etc....

Thinking about waterblocking my second PC's 5700xt and Ryzen 3600.

there are benchmarks ... reference boards were overclockable to 2.1Ghz but it varies via silicone lottery to potentially 2.3Ghz ... both accomplished with reg hacks in windows.

you get about a 5% increase in framerate for a 40% increase in wattage used.

Conclusion was that it was a huge waste of power to overclock the 5700 xt reference boards. Massive improvement in temps though.

Not sure if the 5700xt gets into thermal throttle situations with the normal air cooling. If not, then you probably wont notice much improvement due to lower temps.

was something like 20C gpu temp improvement, 30C vrm and around 20C ram decrease at normal clocks.

But yea, in general, water cooling the 5700xt is going to be either done for sound or just aesthetics. Unless you _really_ really need that extra 10fps @ 190fps and dont care how much power it takes.
