Destiny 2

You need a full set on all 3. We have a month so it'll get done. I should get the full set done on my Warlock tonight or tomorrow then on to my Hunter.

Yeah it's a shame to have the fans who bough the game on Battlenet wait in limbo for the transfer I probably won't even play the game anymore when it goes to Steam.
Should of launched on Steam at the start =)

What limbo? It's just pushed back two weeks, nothing else changes.

Apart from my scheduled PTO..

Pushed hard to try and get my warlocks drained set upgraded last night. Gave up at 7/10 strikes left,I just need those last 3 and i will have everything unlocked for the first upgrade.

This Solstice grind is no joke. I just got the armor up to renewed and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. Glad I have the whole month!

Time to start my Hunter. Man, this is a grind.

Xur is selling OEM with Enhanced Hand Cannon Targeting.

100% pick that one up.

I did. Thanks for the heads up. I haven't needed to get anything from Xur in weeks. I have all the exotics he can drop and there haven't been rolls on anything I've wanted lately.

Ugh.. 69 matches and finally got my second reset on Gambit. Goodbye that for the rest of the season!

Hate to break it to you but if you want a full Solstice set of armor, you have to play 10 matches. Shame, you could have waited until you were at that step.

We'll see.. The whole Solstice armor isn't tripping my trigger right now, but the (underwhelming) reset was.

I'm doing it but I'm wondering how worth it this all really is. It's a bit of a slog.

Apparently, when shadowkeep drops you will be able to trade in the upgraded solstice armour for a set of the new armour 2.0.

Me and my friend went on a Titan binder last night, managed to get all my hive kills, arc super, heroic public's and patrols done in 1 shot

What I enjoy about grinds like this is the multitasking doubling/tripling up on things. By the time my blue armor dropped for my Titan, i had 53 bounties ready to click off and finish that step instantly. To get there, for example, I had Vanguard bounty that required Bow kills, another that required Arc kills and a Ada bounty that required bow kills. An Eva bounty required getting Fallen kills while using an Arc subclass and I had some bounty that required precision kills. We got a Strike with Fallen so all of those got done in one strike. That efficiency feels pretty satisfying and makes these grinds kinda fun.

Haha ya it's fun, right now trying to get the 10 Gambit matches done sucks so badly. I really don't like Gambit so forcing myself to do 10 matches is like pulling hair, 6 matches to go

I legit may only do my warlock for solstice. I'm on the home stretch to get the legendary set, but it's a slog. I don't know if I want to do EAZ a million more times lol.

I'm saving the EAZ requirements for the last so I can have as much normal armor on as possible. Where I screw up is trying to find all of the chests and moving fast enough. The combat is ok albeit a bit frustrating and mostly because we're in a lot of weak sauce armor which makes it harder than it needs to be.

Plus the stinkin' clocks.

Ohh no, you're not getting out that easy. You have 3 more weeks :)

All about weapon choice. I stick each miniboss with 2 Anarchy grenades, hit em with Mountaintop once and you can run to the next one as they'll keep ticking damage and die. Those weapons aren't the easiest to come by so another combo that makes quick work is hit em with Tractor once for the debuff then lay into them with a shotgun like preferably with Trench Barrel like Threat Level, IKELOS or Imperial Decree. Heck if you're a hunter with a One Two Punch shotgun, that's even faster. The curated Emperors Courtesy and Last Man Standing can roll with it.

Primary weapons just don't get it done fast enough. Also making use of the transmat pads at each corner are huge time savers. Each one will teleport you to the opposite corner so make sure that's where you want to go before jumping in.

Side note, i've found that absolute easiest class to get around in the EAZ is Titan, by far. Luckily the leg armor doesn't have any steps that need to be completed in the EAZ so you can run Lion Rampants and that combined with Catapult Lift you can fly around the map and almost never have to touch the ground. I haven't experimented with a sword yet but i'm sure its even crazier if you add that to the mix.

I don't know how you all are doing it. I would only be doing 1 character, and there's a month to do it, but there is not a single ounce of me that wants to grind for armor. I'm actually kind of impressed with how many folks i see running around with all the fancy glowie bits. I'm thinking i'm just going through a bit of burnout. That week long crunch with Iron Banner with no good drops really zapped the wind out of these sails.

I'll admit, that armor looks fantastic. Also want that sparrow....

I love the game and i'm kind of a completionist so if it's in the game, i'm going to do it. Doubly so if there are Triumph points available for it.

That is, unless it comes to the Unbroken title. I'm leaving that one alone. Shadow and Rivensbane are next on the chopping block.

I've been playing for nearly a year and I haven't unlocked one single title. I'd have Cursebreaker, but I've only seen the Pallas Galliot drop twice, and it wasn't for me. Some stuff, like the Blacksmith title I'll never do. That's too much of a grind for me.

That's exactly the feeling I had when these titles were added, that i'd never do anything like that. Too much dedication. Even a few months into Forsaken I felt that way. Then I just happened to realize by just playing I was close to Wayfarer so I decided to focus it and then it was all downhill from there and now i'm 6 deep.

Blacksmith would have been a pain without a weekly SotP fireteam so raid related ones kinda stuck behind that. The rest are all RNG and time sinks, unfortunately.

A large part of Chronicler involved spending an afternoon with the Lowlidev map running from planet to planet collecting lore.

I've played a lot of Destiny over the years, but I stopped playing Destiny 2 about 6 months ago. I'm still at 650, and I guess the current cap is 750. Any suggestions for (mostly solo) activities to get caught back up?

You'll do a couple of quests right away that will give you 690 gear. After that, just do whatever gets you powerful rewards. However, the fastest possible thing to do right now is do just do nothing but get the Solstice set maxed. The legendary version of the set apparently drops at 750 no matter what.

I agree ^

By working the objectives of the Solstice armor, you'll be inadvertently completing Powerful rewards.

The biggest tip I can give someone for the grind is while working on the Green set, pick and complete every bounty you can for whatever you're doing (and there are TON'S) and wait to turn them in (apart from the 5 required solstice bounties) until you get the Blue set. It requires 50 completed bounties.

Got my Solstice armor done. I ended up with absolutely shitty perks.
That sucks, anyway to reroll them?

Also does the season 7 reset count if you have already reset? Or do you have to redo it again, I won't be able to finish the second armor upgrade till next week so I can't see if my valor reset will be retroactive

After you finish a set, you can get different rolls from the packages.

Excellent, got about 20 packages stocked so far. Will keep saving them till I get my armor and hope for pulse rifle friendly roles

I've been doing this. My results have generally been pretty bad. Most of my rolls, even on additional pieces have been just as bad as the originals.

So I don't screw it up: Even though Eva's "weekly" is open 7 pacakges... definitely don't do this until the armor is all done, right? Don't bother?

You have to open some packages to progress through the armor quests. I think you have to open 7 of them to finish the green set and move onto the blues.

Right, I had done that part.

So I have to get 100 EAZ miniboss kills. I'm at 15 and I've gone through 4-5 times. This is going to be a slog.

I would focus on getting tags on the bosses at the very least. You only get credit for ones you touched. Ideally you should be in the 8-10 per run range if you're really hustling. I'm on my Hunter now and and i'm finding in the least efficient way to get around so i'll agree it's a little tougher.

That or get lucky and find a group doing the cheese.
