Has anyone else had issues OCing Hynix CJR on an Intel platform?

Disregard. Apparently I wasn't fully clearing CMOS by using the "clear CMOS" button on the motherboard or shorting the pins, but removing the battery worked. Looks like they can do 3600 C17/C18 without crazy voltages. Should be fun to see if they can touch 4000 and what timings and voltages are required.

For years I used 4 DIMMs (4x4GB TridentZ) with Samsung e-die ICs and they overclocked wonderfully. Recently I decided to switch to 2 DIMMs hoping it would allow lower voltages and/or higher clocks, so I ordered two HyperX Predator 16GB 3200C16 which use Hynix CJR as verified by Thaiphoon, which from all I've read possess relatively good OC potential.

Either I'm the unluckiest person alive, or I misread, because at just 3300 C17 I get CRC errors everywhere. That's with disabling all BIOS auto optimizations and loosening nearly all timings - not just CAS-RCD-RP.

Is Hynix CJR really this bad or did I get the biggest duds ever to be produced?
