Hello.
Anyone with experience on switching this phone screen, that could point me to a good (but not very expensive) screen replacement? Experiences with non OEM screens?
Thanks in advance.

Fortunately it seems fairly easy to replace the display on the 2 XL. Unfortunately the OLED display for it is quite expensive and OLED displays seem to be very lacking in quality compared to the OEM replacements. I've replaced LCDs with 3rd party displays and they can be hit or miss too, but there are definitely some reputable brands out there for them. Not so much from what I've seen for OLED displays.

Ubreakfix is Google's authorized repair place for them and it looks like they do it for $220 or so, which seems high when I replaced the OLED in my son's Moto Z Play for around $100 with an OEM display (though it was half the resolution as well). iFixit has the part itself for the exact same price, but obviously that doesn't make sense since iFixit will actually replace it for you at that price. I know there's labor too, but $50+/hour seems high to me fore this kind of work. I have a 2 XL as well that's been a great phone so far, but I'm not sure I'd want to spend that much on a new display for it, but it's a tough call too since you're going to have to spend about twice that much to get a comparable replacement (Pixel 3a or you can get a new S9 for $350 right now on Prime Day). Or you can downgrade a bit and get the still-solid Moto G7 for $200. Your call though.. maybe you can find a parts phone on eBay too that you can salvage the display out of for cheap.

Thanks for your help man!

If with this you mean to try to change the screen protector only (deglue from screen and reglue new plastic protector), I do not think I can, I've watches videos on how to make this, and it's really difficult...

Happened to me last year, dropped my 2 XL, shattered the screen. There's a lock UbreakitWefixit nearby, and for like $250 or so out the door, same day, was like a brand new phone again.

Well I'd say if you can't swap the display from another phone, then you probably can't replace the display in the first place since it's the same process to remove the display on the donor phone, you're just doing it twice. If you did swap the display from another phone, then you still need the adhesive sticker to put back on the phone/display when you installed the new one though, which usually comes with the display if you buy a new replacement.

You can't. It's fused to the display in a Clean Room. If you try to do it yourself, it's going to look very, VERY bad.

Ahh, I didn't even catch he was talking about the digitizer/glass only from the display. Of course, I meant swap the whole display assembly from the donor phone to his phone, which like I said is about as simple as replacing the whole display assembly in the first place, you'll just need the adhesive template to put on the phone chassis again to adhere it back onto the phone.

That's right, I meant to change only the protective plastic from the screen, since the screen itself and digitizer is in good condition, but seeing how it's done, it's a complex process with special oven heating to re-glue the plastic to the screen, etc etc (I don't have the patience nor the skills to do it). I've changed entire displays previously and I think I won't have troubles changing the WHOLE display to this phone (if I get one that is not so expensive).
Thanks all for the answers and still looking a good display (that corrects the blueish problems of the OEM) and not so expensive (~$150).
