Prime Day Deals

Last time didn't they increase the price before prime day so that the discounts looked bigger? I think some 'deals' were just normal price.

Did a bit of looking and I guess the drives in these enclosures are SMR drives so that's something to bare in mind when purchasing. This is the drive that's in these enclosures, if the online world is to be believed.

I read that which is why I'm unsure. I'll be using it as long term storage for movies I want to keep. I'll be copying a few 100GBs from my short term storage to this about once a month/every other month. Speed isn't really important but longevity is.

I have all I ever need I started popping fish oil and it curbed my online spending by 3/4. I stopped looking at the side panel on my PC case and I placed it on the floor and I no longer need to upgrade. I have all I ever need after a guy who got all the best armor in Dark Age of Camelot.

They, and everyone else do that to inflate their percentage numbers which is why its smart to keep an eye or list of prices on stuff you want to know if you are getting a deal or not.

I will say though, on the things I've been watching the prices hasn't changed, instead Amazon is making the price change in checkout.

You could also look at camelcamelcamel.

I'm an idiot. Amazon Prime is for Prime members only. I was thinking it was like a day where you could get deals as a non-member. oops
You can almost certainly sign up for a free month. If you've used that recently, then I guess, if you'll save enough on your purchases, you could sign up for a month for something like 10 bucks.

3 camels is your friend when tracking amazon prices. Honestly, if it's not a must have now, you should check that before every purchase. I have a plug in so I can check without leaving amazon's page.

I may regret it but I bit on the 2700X deal. Sorry I missed out on that $79 nvme drive. Seem like better deals that usual prime days that I usually ignored or forgot about as they were mostly about amazon tech devices. Search engine still sucks overall.

Purchased a Corsair H115i Platinum RGB AIO on sale $60 off. Wife will be happy as this completes her ryzen build

if anyone is looking for some non-RGB 3600 CAS16 memory for their Ryzen 2 builds, I picked up two 2X8 GB kits for $105 each. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NPKTRS..._B07NPKTRS1?_encoding=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Surprised this isn't getting more attention honestly.

I know the BAPCsales thread for the Crucial mentioned QLC and after reading through the Anandtech review, I don't think it's the biggest loss. Their conclusion was that price would play a big part, and comparing $219 price in Nov 2018 to $80 in July 2019 - you can overlook the performance quirks.

Off topic but I miss my DAoC college days... also I wish I would have saw that PS4 Pro w/ two games for $299 earlier in the day... back on topic

I bit on that, too. I also bit and opened an Amazon Visa Card to gather an additional $80 off which made the cooler $24.99 before tax. How could I not say yes!! On an OT side note, I haven't had a credit card in many years (probably early $20's). So since you get Amazon points with purchases, I may start putting gas and groceries and such on the card then pay it off each month for the free points/money.

If you do a lot of shopping on Amazon, the card is definitely worth it. 5% cash back (well, Amazon credit....which is basically cash to me) on all Amazon purchases adds up if you shop there as much as my wife and I do.

Essentially yes. The card companies bank on people not being very strict in their spending though, which 99% aren't. My brother has been doing that for 20 years, it makes it easier for him to see where all he's spent money when it's on a single bill.

Well, I just bought that dope power washer and Chemical guys car cleaning kit... Then that turned into a corsair h100i platnium.... then DDR4 Royal ram... now im going to microcenter tomorrow to buy a 3600 and mobo... Thanks amazon!

I don't want to get complacent with it, for sure. That's why I'd like to keep it simple with regular purchases we make that we usually use cash for, that way it's budgeted every month. I'm of a pretty strong mindset that, barring major expenditures, if I can't pay for it with cash then and there with my "paycheck allowance", I don't need it. I stay out of (most) trouble that way, although the wife may have a differing opinion :D

LG Electronics OLED65B8PUA 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart OLED TV (2018 Model) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DPRT1FJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8QnlDbDVGW1XM

65" OLED on sale for $1750 with free speaker bar. I about to bite on this, but I'm shipping it to Italy where I'm at (free shipping still for APO AE / military and tax free too), so I need to know if this is a dual voltage (110v/220v) TV. I would assume it is since they have this same TV in our PX too advertised as dual voltage and some sites list that as well, but on LG's own site it only lists 110v input.

Any one have one that can confirm for me?

Is 8GB vs 6GB really a factor here? I'd just be glad to get off the 4GB I have on my OG Pixel right now.
That said, I woulda been happier if the 10e got a bigger chunk off the price. You go the regular S10 at only $50 more, really should be a $499 option for just the 6GB 10e :p

I don't know how people use their phones. Maybe there will be some demanding game next year and lots of app switching and it helps.

Why are blues not good again? Because of the tler timing?
Yeah. I can’t vouch for what difference it actually makes but I didn’t want to deal with it so I stuck with 8TB WD drives and picked up a couple used 6TB HGST to complete my 6TB array.

I hope some of you guys/gals snagged that Acer Helios 9th gen laptop before they removed the deal. Holy...if I needed a laptop..would've been all over it. Best deal on a gaming laptop period and it gets great reviews.
