AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Drops to its Lowest Price of Just $159.99, Includes Free 3 Months of Xbox Game Pas

$139.99 right now at Microcenter for the 2600X
Shoot now I am thinking of grabbing the 2600X to use as a stop gap to let the bios bugs and yields to be better and sell for little or no $$ loss as stock dries up in 3-4 months. Maybe at that point the 3700(non X) will get released.

I'm thinking of getting the 2600 for $120 from MC. Open box it's under $100. Then get a cheap/used 3700, 3900, or the 16 core variant due out.

You cannot go wrong at those prices.
I own an R5-2600X and it is quite a capable, all-round CPU.
I've encoded video with 'break-neck' speed in Handbrake...played lots of VR titles and done a bunch of sim racing with it.
It'll be replaced later today by an R5-3600X... but I am not disappointed in it's performance.
It was just for the sake of performance gains at a relatively cheap cost.

~ $100 used 2600/2600x sacrificial lamb while Der8auer publishes x570 voltage tests isn't a bad plan.

Also Black Friday price cuts will always be the time to buy new releases.
