I sit here with my PG27UQ monitor and with my second new 2080 ti auros card.
It is my second 2080 TI auros card and i have the same problem with the current monitor hz and pbc rates

I set my monitor to 98 hz 10 Bpc with HDR enabled and when i reboot or power my pc on/off, then there
is a high chance that my own settings will be changed out with either 82 hz 8 bpc or 30 hz 8 bpc and HDR is disabled.
And i cant choose any hz or bps higher than the 82 or 30 hz 8 bpc until i reboot again. And then if i am lucky, then my own monitor settings is set back to the 98 hz 10 bpc with HDR enabled.

Im so tired of high end expensive hardware..Its pure BS !

I never had any problems with my samsung 60 hz monitor with 970 sli cards.

But since i bought both the new 2080 ti card and the 4 k monitor, then it has been a nightmare...

Can anyone pull me out of this nightmare and tell me what to do here ?

Yes that sounds nice..i cant return it anymore so i can try and sell it online.
And then i will stick to my 60 hz samsung monitor <3

Looks like you have had the issue for awhile, sounds like some weird incompatibility.

Yes that is me also..gratz in finding me there :D
That was my first 2080 card it endet up with artifact and eventualy died on me.

Then i got a new card and the problem was the same with the hz change at random reboot times.
So i got a 3rd card now and it feels like its worse now..thx HZ wont stay on the damm 98 hz after a reboot or a shutdown..It just refuse to stay like I want it !

Now i bought a new 2080 ti card asus strix and if the problem persist, then i will kick my monitor so hard that it will fly back to asus´s factory where it spawned from.

I just googled PG27UQ and 2080ti and you took the first 3 results... lol
While I did not read all of the threads, did you try different HDMI/Display port cable? You using anything like an active adapter? With all the work you've put in sounds like monitor needs to be ruled out next.

I have a pg27uq and a gigabyte 2080 rtx to auros
And i have this problem when i reboot my pc or powers it on..
Then its random chance if the hz and bpc has changed to 82 hz or 30 hz 8 bpc with 4.2.2 and HDR is disabled.

Going from 98 hz 10 bpc 4.4.4 with HDR

I tryed to reinstall win 10 and installed Nvidia drivers. then i tryed to reboot several times to trigger the problem.
But this time it stayed on the given 98 hz 10 bpc 4.4.4.

Then i installed Asus aura and Trident z royale from G skill..and right after a rreboot then my hz was set to 82 and 8bpc 4.2.2
After another reboot it was set to 30 hz 8 bpc 4.2.2 HDR disabled..very laggy.

So i uninstalled asus aura and Trident z royale and deleted everyfile i could find from these programs. I also removed the gfx card and installed it again.
Then i rebooted over 20 times in a row and the hz was still on 98 with 10 bpc 4.4.4. with HDR like i choosed in the start.

I even had my gfx card for RMA to get another card and the problem was the same..so my guess is that somehow this RGB program messes up my nvidia settings
and i have a theory it is about this file "AacSetup.exe" since both programs installs it.

So its like this..Do i need to controle the colours of my hardware and deal with a random hz mode or i can choose to live with rainbow mode on my hardware.
It is basicly my ramm and motherboard that needs to be controled with aura or trident z royale.

But since the hz rate changes random within 5-10 reboots and it dosent change after 25 reboots with these programs uninstalled, then i call RGB bull**** !
