Is there anything I can do about this monitor's ungodly motion blur?

Viotek GN32LD. Every review I've read, from tech sites to individual users' experiences, praises this monitor for its image quality, unbeatable value, and suitability as a gaming monitor despite the VA panel. Either I'm overlooking some settings or the monitor I received is using a Samsung panel they pulled out of a dumpster because I have never seen this much ghosting, blurring, and smearing at the slightest onscreen movements. It's as though it's constantly

For comparison I sat it beside my Samsung C32HG70 which supposedly uses the same panel, and the difference is so large I again assume I must be missing something. It's not exactly a bargain at the retail of $470 when I bought it. It would be criminal to sell a monitor of this quality for that, so it surely can't be normal.

Does anyone else with a Viotek monitor have any issues, or am I just the ultimate loser in the panel lottery?

do a reset in the tv menu and set it to game or pc mode. see if that helps.

I'm reading about ghosting and smearing with the Samsung, too.

It's a VA monitor, so it's inherently slow. I wouldn't use it at anything faster than 100 Hz unless you pair it with strobing. The 1ms MPRT that Samsung and Viotek give the monitor is only possible with black frame insertion. Real world response time on a VA panel is going to be 10-12ms, maybe 7-8ms with moderate overdrive.
