Choice between 2 laptops....

So my 10 year old HP AMD E350 laptop crapped out. So I can't decide between these two laptops. I really don't need a gaming laptop but it's only a few dollars more and it makes logical sense but the battery life sucks.

I'm out of the loop with the latest Ryzen CPU's. If you don't mind I could use your advise, pro's & con's on these two. Thanks.

Well the "gaming" model has a higher screen resolution and a discrete graphics card. I'd probably do that for the extra couple bucks.
 
The Nitro, but add in an SSD and an enclosure for the 1TB drive that comes with lappy so you can use it for external backup.

No one should have to use a laptop with a slow ass spinner for the OS.
