ORIGINAL 8-bit AdLib music synthesizer card!

Shady AF. No pictures of said audio card other than the backplate. What few pictures are listed look like they were taken with a dollar store camera, compressed to JPEG quality 1 and uploaded to geocities. If there were good quality pix inside and out and showing the system up and running, that's probably a fair price.

As it's presented, I wouldn't pay more than garage sale or salvation army prices.

Yeah, I mean, how hard would it be to crack it open and take a pic, especially if that's the selling point of the system.

Feedback rating (minus the possibly unfair negative he rec'd) is pretty good.

My concern is that it's a very likely clone, even if the seller is unaware (which he shouldn't be due to his history of selling old hardware). A packard bell 386sx 20 with an ethernet NIC tells me the system was overhauled recently by a collector. It's a very rare occasion that I come across a late 80s to early 90s pc with ethernet. They would have noticed the adlib and pulled it before handing the machine off to a reseller. Also, most of my early 90s sound cards have a decent amount of wear on the jacks and scratches from headphone and speaker connectors scratching against the backplate. Most used cards I come across look the same way. Though it's possible the owner just plugged in once and never touched it again.

You never know, adlib wasn't exactly a rare card, but they're not showing up on ebay much anymore.

I'm assuming somebody has PMed the seller asking for a pic. He has to pull the card out and take pics of it top and bottom, and even that makes detecting a clone difficult now.
