WTB: Intel Xeon E3 v3 CPU

I am looking for an Intel Xeon E3 v3 CPU for an older workstation upgrade. I would prefer a quad-core with Hyper-Threading. The system is currently running a Xeon E3 1220 v3 (i5 comparable). The system is running DDR3L Unbuffered ECC, so i7 CPUs are not going to work.

Most unbuffered ecc memory works in non-ecc mode with non-ecc cpus. You can even mix and match ecc/non-ecc modules and all will run non-ecc, even with xeons. This should open up your search a bit.

Sounds like he wants ECC's functionality.
