Going to need a TL;DW and sources. Can't stand how TheQuartering rambles on and on to extend his videos over the 10 minute mark.
Yes there is a level of personal responsibility here but my main issue is what gaming is devolving into. The so called AAA games from companies like EA are all about trying to nickel and dime you for a sub par experience.Don't really care about these things, personally, I am kind of tired of how people just don't want to take any personal responsibility for their actions and choice of what to play. To break it down for you, pretty much all of you are manipulated psychologically every day by everything you encounter, it might be your significant other, it might be the car dealer, a commercial, a school teacher, it's your job to take responsibility for how you react to these situations and which ones you decide to engage in. Of all the things you interact with gaming is the one you have the most freedom to walk away from with the least consequences.

The main responsibility for the current state of gaming lies on the gamers themselves. I hope EA implements this and "turns more players into payers" and squeezes them piglets dry.Yes there is a level of personal responsibility here but my main issue is what gaming is devolving into. Better EA squatting this patent than the Chinese.Basically he's talking about a patent that describes an adaptive automatic difficulty adjustment system to keep people playing longer and spending more money on microtransactions. It tracks behavior and habits across games including spending habits.
None if it surprises me at all but tracking spending like that is slimy and I'm a little surprised they filed a patent since that's begging for a leak and the only thing they can patent is the specific process used which is far from the only way to do it.
