Super.....Lame.
Better price / performance for high-end GPUs with hardware RT is lame?
Kind of, people shelled out a bunch of money for the 2000 series cards not even a year ago. With only a handful of games & Demos (Still) that support RT. I guess I was expecting more. We'll see how super the cost is.
Tree fiddy for a supped up RTX 2070 would be super.
Further Nintendo partnership. Super Nintendo Switch, with SuperFX (RTX) chip for ray traced Minecraft.
I wouldn’t buy it but it’d be funny
I think it was the tweaktown article that said we are looking at new versions with sooped up GDDR6. If thats all this is that is pretty weak. Didn't Nvidia do that with the 1080 and maybe the 1060?So apparently, Nvidia is releasing faster "Cheaper" versions of the RTX 2060, 2070 and 2080 models. Probably to battle the performance of the upcoming RX5000 series from AMD.

Whoosh. There was a superFX chip it was in Starfox and Stunt Race FX.
What’s wrong with faster and cheaper? So apparently, Nvidia is releasing faster "Cheaper" versions of the RTX 2060, 2070 and 2080 models. Probably to battle the performance of the upcoming RX5000 series from AMD.

Cap'n (number)Crunch: Oops! All RT Cores edition: 256 RT cores and nothing else. It'll run the hell out of Quake 2 RTX!
edit: or if you rather, RTX Titan Over 9000 edition: dual TU102 on a single card- 9216 CUDA cores for $9999- when you see the power consumption you'll exclaim "THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!"
Vortex was the best SuperFX game. There was a superFX chip it was in Starfox and Stunt Race FX.

but nvidia being nvidia, i am more curious about the actual priec of the product.
is it? amds radeon vii sure didnt helpThat's actually for AMD to decide...
2060 Ti is a mobile chip that was leaked last September, if I remember correctly. No idea about the 2070 Ti, but could be the same segment. The SUPER teaser could very well be pointing to new mobile hardware. The 2080 Max Q has been known about for a while, but I don't think it's in any laptops as of yet.

So NVidia teases "Super" before Computex, and then nothing at Computex, and so far, nothing at E3. I guess NVidia will now wait till July...
I'm still not sure about Nv dropping prices or introducing new models quite yet. The $50 price difference is not that big imho, and even so the 2070 still has RTX to play around with regardless of how people view that....
Why would Nv drop prices unless the 5070XT is a lot faster than the 2070?
They won't and aren't planning to. I haven't known nvidia to reduce pricing on their cards for quite some time.
They'll just boringly price these new faster cards at the same points as current equivalents, phasing them out. Might even be a few dollars cheaper depending on the competition at launch.

When the $400 Vega 56 beat the $350 GTX 1070, NVidia released the GTX 1070 Ti at $450, never changed the 1070 price.
Navi Pro vs 2060 looks a lot like this...
The 1070 "FE" price was $449 and after it was $399...just saying...
The 1070Ti "FE" slotted in at the old $449 price point of the 1070.
That isn't the way it happened... Just saying...
Price of 1070 was already lowered months before Vega came to market, 1070 Ti released months after.
Google searching yields:
Mar 2017: NVidia cut prices of 1070 (to $350)
Aug 2017: Vega 64 and Vega 56 release
Nov 2017: GTX 1070 Ti release.
NVidia responded with performance, not a price cut.
