Customizable desk options?

Hello,

I've been hunting for a new desk, and I would honestly like something that's a bit minded towards "gaming", in the sense I'd like some in build cable management, somewhere to put my tower for instance, and/or other gimmicks.

I stumpled upon the EvoDesk. Now while expensive, it's unfortunately based in the US. So even if I wanted to fork out the $1.000 for a table like this, I'll be hit with both expensive shipping costs, and 25% VAT most likely on top of that.

I've tried googling around myself, but I just haven't been able to find anything like this in europe.

Does anyone know if I have any options based in europe?

Nothing about that really screams "gaming" to me. It's an electric adjustable stand up desk. The cost is likely associated with the fact that it's marketed towards business users (have you ever priced business desks, chairs, etc.? - crazy). I'm sure there are similar products in Europe, with the right search terms (ie: stand up desk, electric adjustable, etc.).

Ikea offers some electronic adjustable desk legs and desks. You could try them.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, gaming is the wrong word to use, hence it was in quotation marks. Customizable is a better word.

It's easy enough for me to find a desk that's height adjustable. However that's not quite the only thing I'm looking for.

Have you tried going the custom route? I needed something made one time so I just went down to the local woodworking store and asked the manager if he knew of any retired guys that could build tables/chairs and other stuff from scratch.

I'll probably end up going the custom route. Purely because the option I'm after might not exist here in Europe, and price. I hadn't considered asking around for someone to help me make it though, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks! :)

Seriously considering these myself as limited for space in my "office/Gym/man cave" & the adjustable height would mean I could use it for both repair work & standing up as well as my usual "office" type work & gaming. I don't know of anyone that actually has one so I could have a "play" with one in a fully operational setting

I looked at IKEA's website as well, and found the BEKANT model to look quite nice. Reasonable price and size. We'll have to go look in the store and hope that it's on display somewhere so we can touch it, and find out what surface we like best :)

My nearest IKEA has one setup & plugged in but I want to try one out with a system on it and cables connected to see how easily the cable management is when the desk is at sitting height compared to standing height. When it is lower, the cables are going to be looser than standing position and will be all over the place in the back of my mind.
