SOLD!

OK, so I tried to sell this on Ebay but what do you know I got hit with a damn scammer from Indonesia but was able to shut it down before I shipped and lost my ass. So, before trying to sell on Ebay and take those risks again on such a high ticket item I figured I'd try here. Copying my description so bear with me, it's full of details lol. I have a dozen pictures too, I'll try to get those up here asap. Paypal only, I will only ship to the Paypal address, and I would really prefer you to have heatware references as this costs so much. Please read full listing and my info is in my sig! Might be willing to haggle a bit if you have a load of references but please don't try to screw me lol

$825 Shipped to the lower 48, may have to add more for the other 2 but we'll fuck that goat when it comes to town. Any DC'ers get $25 bucks off, mention that when you message me!!

Up for sale is one upgraded MSI Titan 17 inch Laptop, model GT73VR 6RE VR Ready Edition. This thing is a monster, not your normal gaming laptop, and has served me well. It’s large, but because of it’s size it runs cooler and more quiet than the average gaming laptop that sounds and feels like the back of a jet engine. It will still be audible but nowhere near the new trend of thin gamer laptops. It will also allow you to better overclock if that’s what you’re into (I’ve had it over 4.2 Ghz on all cores in benchmarks but it ran it’s life stock since it has performance to spare). This thing is VR ready for those that want to jump into that rabbit hole. Between the beefy specs and fluid like 120hz screen this served me well as a gaming rig but since I’m no longer moving around for work, I don’t need a powerful laptop anymore.

Specs are as follows, including the additional storage Added in:

Intel i7 6820HK CPU – 4 C / 8 T , 2.7 to 3.6 Ghz stock

Nvidia GTX 1070 (not a neutered version) with 8 GB DDR5 VRAM, able to OC if needed

16 GB (8x2 Dual Channel) DDR4 RAM (Memory), room for 2 more sticks if needed

17.3 inch FHD G-SYNC 120 Hz wide view display, no dead/stuck pixels

Windows 10 Pro, fully licensed and activated

4 Storage drives!! 1: 128 GB M.2 NVME 3.0 SSD (OS Drive) (Stock) // 2: 512 GB M.2 NVME 3.0 SSD (I added this) // 3: 256 GB SATA3 M.2 SSD (I added this) // 4. 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA3 HDD (I added this more recently, less than half the hours of the laptop)

Killer onboard LAN + Killer AC WiFi w/ Bluetooth 4.1

2.1 Onboard audio, 4k/60 HDMI, Mini DP, Full Headset support with SPDIF output

5x USB3, 1x USB-C 3.1-DP-Thunderbolt3, Card Reader, Full Color Backlit Keyboard

Full disclosure time! This laptop is in great condition, the screen isn’t buggered up, and the case has no cracks that I can find, I took very good care of this. That being said, as with any machine, there are a few things worth noting that I’m going to air out in the vein of being transparent.Issue One, there’s an odd issue with the laptop where when you are first turning it on after being off for a while it starts up but won’t start the boot cycle. If you turn off and back on again it comes up the second time just as normal. It’s done this since the day I bought it and is repeatable to this day, MSI support said it should be fixable with a firmware/BIOS update. I meant to update it but over time I just lived with it as I have a strong don’t fix what isn’t broke policy and the 10 seconds it’s added to the boot never really bugged me enough to care. Plus, a laptop like this is usually on and plugged in and just going to sleep so for most of the year I never noticed. You can do what you want with the FW/BIOS but I’m selling as is and not upgraded so that’s on you.

Issue number 2 is something that probably could be fixed by now but again I never cared enough to go and try it. If you try to download the advanced sound program that MSI supplies and use it on Windows 10 it will cause blue screen crashes. This is more of a Windows 10 issue as it’s documented to not work well with dozens of sound card programs, I have this issue on 2 of my 3 desktops with sound cards. The easy work around for this is to just use the base drivers and not screw with it. You’ll still get full surround sound options and mic functions and all that, and like I said it could be fixed by now for all I know but it was never worth it for me to go back and try again.Lastly, it has crashed once over the last year while playing Destiny 2 but I’m pretty sure that’s just Destiny as I’ve never had any other crashes from this rig (sound program aside but that was an easy fix). If you don't like any of this don't buy as this is not a return reason I'll accept. Also, not an error but just the way it's designed, the keyboard lights are controlled by a program in Windows so the keyboard won't light up until Windows and the program loads, this is normal behavior, just felt like pointing that out. Without the Dragon Center the keyboard lights won't work.

Laptop will come wiped with a clean install of Windows 10Pro and a simple password on a sticky note. Strongly suggest you change the password, or better yet you reinstall Windows again to be sure it’s clean (I never trust any PC, always reinstall, good for you to do it too!). Includes the OEM power pack as well and that’s it (does have a longer power cord though to get a few more feet of placement). Sold as is and again, please understand this is a full size 17 inch laptop, I’m not doing returns because you thought it was smaller. I opened the back up and dusted out the fans and vents, I also took pictures of the inside and some serial numbers to protect myself from thieves on Ebay. On the desktop is a folder with the MSI drivers I installed and the order I installed them. If you want to redo the install please follow that order and download suggestion, if you mess something up on a re-install that's all on you. See the read me on the desktop for everything I've done to this machine.

I don't sell to international buyers, period. Don't even waste time asking. If you use a fake forwarding address you are breaking all terms of this sale and I won't sell to you, already been scammed by fake overseas buyers, not getting burned again. I ship out on weekdays only, usually the day after payment.
