I am getting too old to play online MP anymore and enjoy playing games against bots. I like the COD series so I have those. I have Doom 2016 also. So I was wondering if there are any other FPS out there that allows you to play with bots offline. I Google this occasionally, but was wondering if I was missing anything. I like the Warhammer 40k series occasionally in skirmish mode so I'm open to other games other than just FPS.

Quake 3 arena
Unreal tournament also had some but both those games I mentioned are pretty old
The new star wars battlefront 2 also has some iirc

I failed to mention I'm pretty old school so Quake 3 and UT were some of my first multiplayer games. I'll have to look at Enemy territory.

Enemy Territory was originally a multiplayer game based on Return to Castle Wolfenstein, so if you want to go even more old school you can go for that. I'm not sure if the original had bots, though. There is a community supported and updated version called ET: Legacy (https://www.etlegacy.com). The original Enemy Territory is free, to boot. Quake Wars is a more modern version that I think is better in every way, though. Forgive me if I speak blasphemy

Unreal Tournament has some seriously tough bots that are also tweakable. After playing against each other at LANs, we would always start a couple of rounds vs advanced bots and end up playing for hours.

i remember having fun years ago with Urban Terror ..you'll need quake 3 i think still dunno if its still around ..try here https://www.urbanterror.info/home/

you used to be able to add bots as far as i can remember ...but the bots were never as good as unreal tournament

also try far cry 5 ..it has an arcade mode ya can play custom maps on as Single player ..and many maps yea have bad guys that ya gotta kill..some maps do indeed suck .. but i found quite a few that are quite fun and challenging

Turok Rage Wars. I'm not sure if they brought that one to Steam or not though (I know they brought the first one or two to PC semi-recently). Edit: typos

I didn't see this one anywhere. I'll have to keep an eye out.

Quake Champions is a more recent title that has offline bot mode, I love it.

Tried this one. Was never a real fan of Quake Arena. I am a UT guy. I did give it a try, and will give it a chance. Thanks.

Ah dang, I had read something awhile ago about it maybe coming to PC but I guess that dream is still dead lol. Looking at Steam Store it looks like they only brought Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil which where originally on the N64 to PC (well, there are other newer Turok PC games but... I've not heard good things about those lol).

I remember Rage Wars being tons of fun multiplayer on the N64 and the bots were pretty good too. Hopefully Nightdive Studios (apparently the ones behind the Steam/PC ports) is able to put up Rage Wars at some point!

EDIT: Hmm the Steam page for Turok 2 Seeds of Evil say they have online multiplayer. I don't remember playing multiplayer Turok outside of Rage Wars which was very much a multiplayer game while the first two were single player/story mode focused. Maybe see if there are some videos or reviews of the multiplayer, maybe they have bots too?

I love UT as well, I still play UT2004 and UT3. CS GO has offline bot mode as well, I play this one quite often as well when I don't want to deal with people.

I don't like to deal with playing games online with people anymore myself. I go back to playing the UT games quite often, and have given CS GO a try a few times.

UT98 and Q3. I don't play them much anymore, but had a lot of fun with them back in the day. I need to fire up UT98 again. As I recall, you need to put vsync on with UT98 these days, to avoid some issues with current PC's being so fast (can't remember all the details, it's been awhile). UT98 CTF was awesome, and Deathmatch was fun too.

It's nice to always go back to the oldies once in a while.

The two Star Wars Battlefront games have quite a bit of offline content where you can play against bots. You can't do everything the games have to offer with bots, but a lot of it.

Thanks, someone else mentioned that also. I'll check into them.

I play DOTA 2 against the bots, since real people are too good for me.

You wouldn't believe the kind of hate I attract in that game

Battlefield 1942 conquest. Back when i was home from college in the summer with no internet this was always fun with bots.
