Corsair or Ballistix for my new build?

I have a $100 courtesy credit on Amazon but it only works for items sold by Amazon.com, the Corsair and Ballistix are the only two 3200 kits I found sold by Amazon.

I'd probably get the Ballistix myself for an Intel build. If you're ever thinking of swapping over to AMD though, the Hynix in the Corsair should work fine. I don't have a lot of experience with Crucial and AMD.

If your looking to OC going with this RAM and taking the time to tweak it up to around 4000c17 with tight sub timings will bring you a larger performance gain than overclocking the CPU itself.
F4-3200C14D-16GVK $175 https://www.amazon.com/G-Skill-Ripj...ddr4+3200+c14&qid=1556663688&s=gateway&sr=8-5

4790k overclocked with high speed RAM is similar in performance to a stock 9700k system with slow RAM in games that doesn't make use of the extra cores.

Do you mean amazon inventory? Or the kit itslef would not be that exact one?
I do not fully understand your answer...
Cheers!
Amazon lumps in third party seller stuff with their own nowadays. You should get the right product of course but it is risky on frequently counterfeited goods. Personally I don't shop much at Amazon anymore due to this policy.

I have always used Corsair RAM when possible. Cannot remember ever having to RMA any of it, but from others that have had to do so, they say that Corsair are fantastic with their RMA processes (in the UK anyway).

I guess it's a matter of luck also. I've had a Dominator elpida ram dead (2x4gb), wich were known to die (hyper chips). Also had GSkill Trident-X module DOA (2x8Gb 3600 cl15) with samsungs b-die on them (also pretty common DOA modules on this brand).

Every stick of Corsair RAM I've ever used has either under performed by a large margin or been defective. Every stick of G-Skill I've ever used has overclocked like a dream and I've yet to have to RMA a stick. I used to build PCs for a living so I've used a shit ton of RAM. I won't use anything other than G-Skill unless the buyer specifically asks for another brand and can't be swayed.

Totally, GSkill modules OC caps are a dream. B-DIE sticks from Trient X goes far beyond.
