hi all.
*again*.

seems my last post. for this question, never appeared in the audio forum! was it removed? what did I do Wrong?
a redundant post, maybe.
I will try again. if removed, then I realize the problem is in my end, not a glitch in the forum system.
[maybe i broke a rule by posting a name of a computer build company!]

my Question.
----i have a new computer now set up and I have an audigy 5Rx sound card. sounds good. there is no interference or static. but this card is simple, no midi, no equalizer. maybe i have to download some software from Creative.
however, my new motherboard, i find, an Asus Z390, comes with realtek sound. the chip is a 1220 chip and is supposed to be a "high end" realtek. there is even a headphone amp included.

I listen to music a lot and also play games.
i have a sennheiser 599 headphone and i cannot use speakers as there are other people nearby. the "open end" sennheisers, as stated so, seem to be very quiet for noise leakage, by the way.

there is also an audigy fx that sells for $40 and it seems to have an equalizer and a headphone amp. would it be worth it for me to change the card to this card?
i have windows 10.

choice?
is the onboard sound so "improved" now that i should switch to use it?
should i just stay with the audigy 5 Rx?
or change to another card, a card like that audigy fx or another card under $100.?

i am 77 years old, tests show that my hearing above like 13,000 is not so good, like for most seniors, otherwise my hearing is good. I like music, folk, rock, electronic. on skyrim special i intend to install the better music files.

thank you....freestone

Go get your software from Creative. This should be the easiest solution if you are looking for software equalization for your 599's.
