How to check if my laptop has a video camera?

I bought an MSI Steel Series laptop years ago and have never needed the video camera until now. It looks like there is one in the top middle of the monitor casing, but when I launch Skype or Zoom or any other video app, they indicate that no camera is present. I checked Device Manager and don't see anything either, though I don't know what category it would appear under.

Can anyone give advice on how to check whether my laptop does have one installed?

Look up the model number on google. It will tell you.

Model number won't necessarily say. Sounds to me more like MSI used the same LCD bezel for laptops with and without the camera.

It could also be that that little hole is just a microphone.

Are there any yellow exclamation marks in device manager?

Do you have all the drivers installed for your laptop? MSI should have a camera driver available IF that model was available with a camera.
