is ryzen 3600 going to be any better for gaming? what do the rumors and leaks look like. Im in the market for a new PC but if its like 5-10 fps better in gaming then ill wait.

It's looking that way if leaks are somewhat accurate and there's a 10-15% IPC (single threaded) improvement over current gen. Unless you're gaming at 120+ Hz though (and your GPU will actually run it that fast), you're not going to miss the extra frames at all compared to Intel or next gen Ryzen. 1440p and higher is pretty much going to be a wash and going to be bottle-necked by your GPU way before the CPU.
 
I pulled the trigger on a R7 2700 for 204 (with taxes) today. First new CPU I've purchased in a Loooong time. I figured with the two games it was too good to pass up.

yep R7 2700 is now 216.72 including taxes for my location. Still pretty cheap.
