New Earthworm Jim Game Is in Development. Exclusive to new Intellivision Console.

Yeah, kinda digging the announcement. Still not entirely sure about the console, but it's cool that the original team is back. 1 and 2 were a couple of my fave SNES platformers.

Why not make this for a real console? everything ive read about this amico makes me think its going to crash and burn.

Other than hitting those of us who were around for the original Intellivision console in the nostalgia feels, whats the point? I mean, I guess the fact that they are going to make the games less than 8 bucks could attract some buyers. Juat seems like a nostalgia cash grab, which I am not too sure is going to work in the age of mobile gaming.

Any know how much of the original team is back? Is Dave Perry back? I saw that Tommy Tallarico is (apparently he is in charge of Intellivision now, I did not know that). Not sure about any others. Be interesting to see a new Earthworm Jim game. 1 and 2 were a blast on Genesis and SNES (have yet to check out Sega CD version), and I also enjoyed the HD remake for 7th-gen consoles. Makes me feel better that at least some of the original devs are working on this new game.

There was a picture of the group and I saw Dave Perry amongst them. I'll link it up if noone else beats me to it when I'm at my PC.

Edit: Here's the livestream event featuring all the original devs:

Oh shit, awesome! Thanks!

Yeah, I WANT this to be good.. but if it's exclusive to an intellivision console.. i'll probably be watching this on youtube/twitch. Neat to see an old team.. Love me some Earthworm Jim. Groovy!

That trailer kicked some 80's ass!

THIS is the exciting type of trailer Atari should have had.

Meh..they should have just developed the game for pc
Ja, I'm not buying a $200 piece of hardware just to play one game. I did back the comic book with the face sketch on Indiegogo though as a gift for my sister since she is a huge Earthworm Jim fan.

Of course it's going too, there's no room for more consoles. Besides, i'm sure it's yet another arm commodity box running android.
