Hi. Question. Case Fractal Design R5. Ram

https://gskill.com/en/product/f4-3000c15d-32gvr cooler - Noctua NH-D15

Will i fit all ?

i mean clearance

RAM is 42mm tall

Mobo: Asus Prime 390-A

Or just use 1 fan instead of 2,on noctua? Doesnt matter on temps ? But according to pcpartpicker all should be fine, cause i see many pcbuilds with the same products.

If you look at Define R5: CPU Cooler Limitations, you'll see there should be 180 mm of space for the CPU cooler.

Then, over on Noctus's page How big is the NH-D15 and how much clearance does it provide for RAM and chipset coolers? it says it'll fit a 32 mm RAM stick within its normal height of 165 mm, or you can move the fan up to accommodate larger RAM sticks.

So, you need to move the fan up by 10 mm, giving an overall height of 175 mm. Which should fit.

If it didn't fit, you could put a smaller fan on the front, like one of the fairly new NF-A12x25 PWM ones. I don't know how well two different PWM fans on one connector would work. Remember that those fans will also be contributing to cooling the components on the motherboard near the CPU socket, like the voltage regulators.

I am running gskill V ram that came with the same style cool looking decorative aluminium bits stuck on.
I gently pulled them off the memory.
The Tim pads were not in contact with the the hot bits on more than 3 EACH of each stick.
No contact = insulation = NOT heat spreader.

So substitution of Actual, full contact, heatspreaders that WILL fit under D15 would absolutely be in order for your setup.
