Once upon a time, they talked to each other. I could look up shares on any of the Win 10 boxes and see the Linux shares, but it was always easier the other way around.
Now, the Win 10 boxes see the Linux shares, but ask for a password, so I enter the only one I know that has been setup.
Nope. No password I enter works.
From the Linux box, It sees the shares, but unable to access location.
It's frustrating. I have Googled it, tried some of the "fixes", maybe it works for the time being then bam, herpes. It never works again.
All I want to do is transfer files between the systems, maybe map a drive. It'd be nice to be able to have some Plex redundancy.
So thoughts fellas.... burn it all down and go straight Linux except for one box for gaming? I doubt I do that, but tempted.
I need this to work someday. I spend more time on my Linux box for internet and light gaming, Plex serving and mostly use the win 10 boxes for Steam, cartoon making and one as a Plex server backup.
What am I missing?
