Why is this memory going for as much as 60 dollars higher on Amazon?

I'm with Brian_B on this, Amazon is notorious for resellers marking up things that are in demand. I'm not familiar with that ram kit but if it's a hot item, I wouldn't be surprised that people are buying it out then reselling it on Amazon with a markup. They know people being as impatient as they are, it's a great way to sell/re-sell things.

Thanks, good to know. Memory prices are really low right now overall. Not sure how much longer that'll last

It's high capacity Samsung B-die memory (pretty much anything that's Cas 14 at 3200MHz is B-die). Just not a lot of it around.

Cas 16 3200Mhz is usually Hynix. If you're not looking for every last bit out of a Ryzen system the Hynix memory does fine with latest bios releases and a decent memory controller on your chip.

I "always" check prices outside Amazon because often they can be found a lot cheaper.

People are getting 3600 hynix down to 3200 cl14 with tighter sub timings than b die now lol. Thread on here with more info I can dig up if you want

I'm not doubting that they are. OP was just asking a question about specific modules.

This one is a pretty big price difference
These are all new not used
That's a pretty big price difference of around 60 bucks
Now i'm going to have price check everything between newegg and amazon. Thought amazon was cheaper over all

$355 amazon
https://www.amazon.com/G-SKILL-Trid...200C14D-32GTZ&qid=1556731301&s=gateway&sr=8-1

$299 newegg
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...m_re=F4-3200C14D-32GTZ-_-20-232-206-_-Product

Newegg is usually the same price or cheaper - they compete well on price. For me, I pay taxes at both places but get 5% reward points back on Amazon. So, if the 5% reward puts me close to Newegg’s price, I’ll buy from Amazon for the superior customer service. Newegg recently killed their will call service at their Indianapolis warehouse, which I actually used several times, so that’s just pushing me more towards Amazon.

I have found, however, that Newegg is generally MUCH cheaper on RAM so I do usually go to Newegg for that.

Well the price on newegg just went up to $355 matching amazon. Guess it was a sale or something
