The Division 2

remembering how in TD1 you would grind certain missions literally 100s of times for certain parts, I think they get off on that and won't change it.

I am definitely doing more of those map walks like the stuff you and some others posted. I have definitely stayed in order as well.

Unfortunately there is too much mixed information. At least some of the YT videos showed me visually where some of these chests were like trying to get the Modified Modifiers out of that DUA Stronghold. Now I know exactly where that box is.

https://www.gamesradar.com/division-2-liberty-exotic-pistol-desert-eagle-how-to-get-guide/

Their guide for the weapons seems to be as good as anything I've seen and I haven't seen people trash it in the comments for errors.

Noted... maybe not a bug?..

Here is the problem: Unless you're a beast it keeps coming up that the higher the difficulty the better your chances are so "Hard" would be the almost most a lot of us could attempt to do some of these missions solo. Challenge would be out of the question (at least for me.) This is where guys on YT were talking about 40 runs to get a drop and so forth.

I didn't do the stronghold because it just take forever to get through it. I did the 2 open world boxes in each area until I got the mods. (sometimes I would get the stuff from quick runs of Grand Washington Hotel.) Challenging is tough i haven't tried to solo it yet. The better GS the easier time you have. Remember to min/max your stuff to. The build makes a huge difference. Right now I have a decent build for demo specialization.
The exotic DE is easy because you do the missions in order and get the components at each boss killed. I think the nemesis sniper rifle is actually a good on how to get the exotics. I think the liberty DE is almost to easy. There has to be a balance to getting these because if its to hard its not worth the reward, if its to easy then it it also my not be worth it because then pretty much everyone will go get it and then its not really exotic. hopefully they make good on the damage increases on all the exotics in the next patch.
Again I can't emphasize how important it is to do a good build. Trust me I know, I don't play but 2 hrs a night at most. We usually do some missions and try some other activities like hunting hunters.
My friend and I did the DZ last night and were completely surprised how easy that was to kill the NPCs. We avoided any human players so we didn't get ganked. That is also a good place to get gear too. Not everything is contaminated which is awesome because there is a lot of stuff to do in the DZ besides PvP.

Its based on when you were in a group. There is a time limit that you can share the gear, but its solely based on when and who you are in a group with. I kind of get why they did it that way but yea I wish I could give my friends some awesome weapons that I picked up soloing that they really need to perfect their build.

I think you missunderstood me, I ment there are guides saying that the first lootbox in the hotel drops part one and the 2nd lootbox drops part 2 which did not happen for me and also is not mentioned in other guides as they are like I stated putting 1 item in each section of DC that is hyena controlled (and you also stated correctly)

For the moment I have iirc 2 parts for the handgund and 2 for the sniper (hopefully a third one tonight as the invasion should have moved)
Ok that makes more sense, then yes there are some pretty shitty videos then. I tend to watch certain guys who have been around for a while. Like Willis Gaming and Arekks. They have some really good quality videos and if they get something wrong in the video they then make it right.

I like the screaming european guy, he is a trip. his latest he is having a cow screaming about willis gaming stealing his content lol

I am confused on this "you need an HE 90" talking point as well.

To _craft_ Liberty, which is a DE50 pistol type, you have to have a GOLD one in your inventory, purple will not work. You can get all the pieces, and the blueprint separately. The DE50 is just another requirement in addition to the pieces collected from the faction boxes / blueprint.

As with most exotics you cannot get any blueprints unless you have all the pieces.

Liberty is the only exotic that requires a specific High End gun to craft.

I don't know why, it is what it is.

What i'd like to see is if you sell the gear to the NPC Vendor, it will be in their inventory for other players to buy. (Or at least for a Clan Vendor) Maybe have a set limit on how much you can buy a week or a day so no one can buy everything. Never will happen, but fun to think about.
About GS 492 atm and going about 1-2 up in GS if i play a few hours and get lucky drops. All my Control points are at 1 so maybe i'm doing TOO well?

I crafted the Liberty and all I can say is "meh". I now have three exotics and honestly none of them seem to be worth the effort. The Liberty has decent power but zero stability. The holstered talent is good though. The Chatterbox is one of the better exotics but again the stability sucks so you have to be up close and personal to cause some real damage. Lastly is the Merciless which seems like a hassle to use with the whole primer/detonator ability. I feel that with all the grind that's required to get these guns they should be better (IMO).

In one of the SOTG they acknowledged that the exotics were "underperforming" and in need of buffs. Nobody I know of equips them to use, but the passive talents Chatterbox and Liberty provide are very strong in a lot of situations. For PVE Liberty can be very strong and it's my exotic of choice.I will say getting 500k+ headshots with Liberty is pretty funny in PVE.

Aren't they going to buff the exotics in an upcomming patch? So far i only have the chatterbox and it'spretty underwhelming with 12k and change damage.

Did get another part for the sniper yesterday which is the one I'm looking most forward to since there is not assault rifle.

Patch notes for Phase 3 of the PTS were released today. You can find them here.

/The Division Team

There is good and bad, and this is only PTS, so it is all an experiment. Either way, play and give your feedback so we can weed out the bad and help shape the good.

My weapon of choice is the LMG's mainly. Not too fond of shotgun's, although i'll probably play around with them a bit later on. Still at my same GS, but did do the Lincoln Memorial last night on Challenging with not to much difficulty and got some decent drops. (Just hate getting to the very end of a section, and get killed by a lucky hit so i have to redo that part again lol)
Do we need a mike for grouping or does it really matter? Mine is not working atm and i'm not sure if its needed.

the content in this game is not hard enough to require a mic. its fine if you have one, but most of the time people do not talk.

Because people would probably auction off or sell their items to the highest bidder. There's no way this would ever happen. I think it's fine as it is. You can share any item picked up in your group.up to 2 hours since you received that drop. Massive doesn't want some unofficial black market for their in game items.

I guess I can see the slippery slope there but... eh... I just kind of wish they could loosen that up a little bit more.

Way back in the EQ days there was no easy way to transfer items between characters. You either had to give the item to another player, log off and switch toons and hope they were still there when you got back. Or you could drop it on the ground, log out and log in your other toon and pick it up (as long as no one came along and grabbed it) The best itemsd in game were "no drop" so they coldnt be dropped on the ground or traded, but everything else was free game. Before they put in an auction house people would log in and camp out in a tunnel in east commons and sell shit all day long. They finally put in an auction system but you had to go to the zone the auction house was in and your toon had to actually stand there like a vendor in order to sell amything.

remembering how in TD1 you would grind certain missions literally 100s of times for certain parts, I think they get off on that and won't change it.

Thus far this is nothing compared to my first barrett's chest. It took me like 300 runs to get the first one.

Sent a request to join clan. Need to step up my game a bit. Name is Xutsman in-game.

Pack your bags, your about to go on a guilt trip.
I sure appreciate when a player can let me know a Heavy is about to bash my brains out.
Or an exploding car is about to blow me the fuck up.
Comms make for a better gaming experience.
Not mandatory by any means. A better quality of life for the players.
You can always mute someone who is annoying.
(Open mic, Chews with mouth open, Heavy breather, open mic, open mic, open mic)
My advice for anyone is have a working Mic. At least have the option to talk.
No one wants to be a third world shit hole that can't go down to Wal-mart and buy a can of frozen lemonade concentrate.
Then stand in front of your house and watch your daughter sling glasses of yellow
sourness to the public to get you, her loving father $10.00 to go back to Wal-mart to buy a Microphone.

once you are leveled and have a decent build this game does not have hard enough content to require a mic. I mean sure if you do heroic missions, yeah, probably necessary for that, or if you PvP you will want a mic.
Otherwise it will depend on the future content they put out.

I think the short answer is, it is better if you have one, but not mandatory if you do not. I think the bulk of the community prefers them, if only to chat and coordinate in combat (no matter its difficulty), but also because they make any communication faster, easier and more fun. There are rare times you can get someone obnoxious in the squad who just wants to yell into their mic, but they can be muted or kicked. Most players that I've met just enjoy hanging out and having fun, which is made more fun when you can talk about it while you do it.

I'm having more fun with my alt character than GS 500
I can kill stuff. TTK is seems like it should always be this way.
Went back to NY with my Pig faced Tactician. Was fun but old.

Blueprint is in game. 1st boss on Grand Washington Hotel (invaded). 2nd room, takes 5 minutes to get to him. I've heard (can't confirm) only drops on Challenging. Done it twice on challenging, seen it 2 for 2. So it might go away come this reset if the invaded goes away in this sector. There is some speculation that the rotation part of the invasion will go away, and we will be able to do any invasion after Thursday. I haven't read anything confirming / denying that.

D50 is RNG. Here is a set of "runs" that can net you a lot of gear / weapons in a short-ish amount of time.

Yer old!! :)

Also, EC Tunnel was for newbs!! NFP all day long!

I remember the run from Freeport to Qeynos as a newb just so you could experience there and hoping you'd make it. (And vice-versa) May have been difficult, but you KNEW you had done something special back then.
Aside from that, am at GS 499 and will get 500+ the next few days i'd imagine. DID do my first heroic bounty with 3 bosses and didn't die more than 3-4 times so that's a plus. :notworthy:

Let's hope this small patch released earlier will fix the long loading times

Agents! We've released a small patch for the PC client that should improve the long loading times some players have been experiencing. Restart the game to install the patch and let us know if you have further issues!

does anyone even have a gun over 500 yet?

I have all 515 gear and ran DZ for a few hours and just had crap 490 drops mostly. Currently sitting at 510 overall.

I just fired up the game and it seems like it. :)

It's about time! It was taking me over 3 minutes to spawn in front of the White House.

The slow load in and respawn time was something my buddies and I complain about every session.

I sat and timed a full load in from clicking the game short cut to standing in front of white house (GS 500ish but jumps around depending on loadout). Was just over 3 minutes on my home SOHO rig - 32gb ram, 2700x, Samsung 970 Evo 1tb, Radeon VII. Also play it on my 32gb ram, 1700, PM961 1tb, Titan Xp which has similar times as well.

Made me wonder whether its even possible to play this game on a spinner drive.

I started an iksar warrior when kunark released, that newb run to anywhere was nerve wracking. KOS to every other race.

Are there any secondary clans out there? Been waiting to get into the main for a few days now.
