Destiny 2

The idea of going for Luna has crossed my mind lately, but it isn't worth it if the gun is gonna get gimped. Meh. Nothing really left to excite me this season. Got to 700 and play time has dropped dramatically. Don't even care to get the new exotic.

Edit: Of all things, I still find myself jumping through a few clears of EP though, I think i'm up to ~120 at this point. I also don't mind the forges for some odd reason (well, the first and last ones any way) and I've got over 300 of those.

I've got around a 140 Escalation Protocol clears and about 130 Forges done. I do like Nightfalls and raids, but aside from that my play time has dropped a bit recently. I did get the new exotic, but I couldn't care less about the other event rewards. I'm normally all about Iron Banner but I haven't touched it this week at all.
 
I do enjoy the raids. I've been through Levi quite a few times. Even have the Prestige version down to a science. Lots of fun. Haven't done Scourge since I got the curated Threat Level. Only a select few from the clan are still playing regularly so it's making it hard to do something like Last Wish. I do really enjoy that one. The length and difficulty really draw me in.
 
The Last Wish is the only one I've cleared. My raid team and I are close to having Leviathan done. We've attempted Scourge of the Past a couple of times but haven't cleared the first encounter yet.

I absolutely love Scourge and my team and I clear on each character Tuesday. Lots of running, gunning and antics to be had with less pressure than say Last Wish.

When you're comfortable with it, each full run is ~20 minutes so no big time dedication. That's also with some goofing off.

I'm hoping the raid in Pneumbra is similar but maybe a little longer.

Comp is so broken right now with the Tonic and all the grenades but i'm about to break 1000 Glory.. Only 1100 more to go for Recluse! And I guess Luna's once I do all the other crap for it.

When did Bungie allow you to re-use weapons and armor you deconstructed for parts?
Unless I missed this the first time I played
 
I had to stop. 1402 was my peak but I was beat back down to 1194 and I don't want to drop any further. Another time, and hopefully not solo.

Datto, a popular and very experienced long term Destiny player/streamer/youtuber, today uploaded a video on the pathetic state of the Titan class.


Direct quotes:
"Titan doesn't bring anything substantial to the table at all in terms of almost anything", and
"Anything Titans can do can be done better by Hunters and Warlocks"

Nothing we didn't know already, but at least now there might be a possibility of some feedback from Bungie. When you're a Titan main with no desire to level up other classes, it really puts a damper on your desire to play the game.
 
Well put and thought out, as with most everything Datto does. Its a shame, really, as i'm not sure anything is coming to remedy this.

Been following Datto since D1 and he's always been a Titan main, too.

I've had fun with Thorn and Malfeasance. Malfeasance is a heck of a Taken killer en masse although I see myself leaning more towards Thorn between the two.
 
Slowly clawing my way through the Wayfarer. Got another prophecy weapon, and the damned arbilist.

Oddly got pulled into a shattered throne run last night by two guys in my clan. seems if you show up in the last two major fights your reward is nothing for the win.

Well there are only 2 major fights in Shattered Throne, Vorgeth and Dul Incaru. Really the only thing besides normal powerful drops you'd want is the ship, Pallas Galliot, that can drop from either of those two encounters. Its one of the pieces needed to complete the Cursebreaker title which i've been trying to get to drop since Shattered Throne released. 3x runs every week, one on each character.

Took until the first run tonight. Finally!

4x Seals/Titles down which will be 5x once its Full Curse week again and I can get the last Lore from Mara for the Truth to Power book.

Wayfarer, Dredgen, Blacksmith, Cursebreaker and eventually Chronicler.

The RNG involved in these titles kind of lessens the impressiveness of them but it still feels good to check stuff off. Part of the whole allure of looter shooters to begin with, doing stuff and checking it off to say you've been there, done that.

Reckoner will involve a lot of Gambit Prime which TBH i'm not in love with it. Haven't played in weeks. Rivensbane.. well you need a solid Last Wish group which I don't have and TBH, Petra's Run scares me.

Unbroken.. L O L. Nope.

The RNG calculators were smiling on me.. finally. Got the WinterWolf so no more hoping for that sucker to drop or get lucky for a special thing from Anna.

That leaves eight: Sleeper simm, Ikelos Sniper, Ikelos SMG, Osprey, Conqueror 2, null calam 9, traveler's judgement 5, and Sagiras shell,

Mostly grinding stems, escalation protocol, strikes/rumble, and to hell with the rest of it.

Oddly, the Osprey is the only one of those weapons I do not have.

Picked up Midnight Coup last night too.
 
RNG is a fickle beast. 55 runs of Scourge now (we just ran a 18:00 minute flat!) and still no Raid sparrow.

Third run through EProtocol snagged the SMG.. so no more EP needed this week! I have to wonder if it was using my SHANK shell with it's lovely public defender benefit.

Either way the rest of the week is a clear rotation of resonate stem harvesting to hit the SleeperSim, and Rumble/strikes for prophecy components.

For SMG's its not bad. I've been using that and my curated Bug Out Bag in preparation for eventually getting The Recluse (and then promptly never taking it out of my energy slot)

Eeeesh.. 6 APA is 60 paradox amplifiers.. which means 30 to 60 rounds of Rumble and Strikes. Time to pull up my prissy pants for that slog.

I just got Sagira's shell this weekend. So that's off the list. I just have the Osprey remaining on that list, but I have to wait until that particular nightfall is up.
 
I'm level 33 the grind is real it's not bad just all that stuff you mow down. I had to grind a bit because Warmind the 2nd part was 320 light I was just below 299 I'm 334 or something now I'm sure I could do it today but I'm burnt out. Forsaken stuff opened up but no desire to do it before the Warmind story. I was in the crucible for one match today I got a 3 kill streak with a hand cannon that was before dying about 8 times before that =)
 
I didn't really have a problem leveling the first time. However, the second time I couldn't stand it and used the level boost I had to get up to level 30. It was still a grind to get to the end just doing Forsaken. I leveled my Warlock to level 31, and I still have Warmind and Forsaken to do. I have zero motivation to get that third character up to level 50.
 
Erh Mah Gerb! SHANK shell maybe saving my bacon again. Seems, with that shell vs a Crucible scanner one, I am getting consistently TWO paradox amplifiers per crucible. This may just cut my grind in half from ten hours to five. Praise be the SHANK.

Also, bless the AFK players. Helping me rack up some random triumphs while doing this.
 
Seems I was wrong.. and D2 punished my hubris. A drought of NO P/A!?!

I have been putting a lot of time into EP this week trying to get the Ikelos SMG, but no luck yet. I already have the other two and they dropped rather fast, but this one is stubborn.
 
I just downloaded the XUR app which tells you what he has for the week and his location and it lists previouis inventory for like the past 6 months seems everyone wants the Suros auto rifle.
