Destiny 2

Got a curated Kindled Orchid today, which comes 'drop mag/kill clip/rampage' which is the god roll, ie the absolute best roll you can get for it. You have a small chance of dropping a curated version when forging a 'powerful' frame.

Right now the Titan class is in a very poor state, they have no meaningful way of contributing to PvE content and having a Titan in your group instead of another class just makes the game's content more difficult. Players have been bitching about this for some time now, though no response from Bungie.
Really? I mainly use Shield/Ursa and do well in activities. Titans could certainly use a buff, but they aren't unusable or anything. I have one of each, and they all appear functional to me.

I don't know that I buy into the idea that the Titan class is in a poor state. I can keep up with kills and damage in all PvE and PvP activities with other players on Hunters and Warlocks. Four Titans are a hell of a lot more useful in the Reckoning than four Hunters. The Hunter and the Warlock certainly have specific advantages in certain activities, but generally speaking I can keep up or exceed whatever kill count or boss damage gets done by other classes in any PvE activity on my Titan.

At the moment everything that the Titan class can do, the other classes can do better. Sometimes vastly better, completely negating the usefulness of the Titan class. The one thing Titans had going for them was Melting Point, however it's nowhere as useful as it used to be (and now I believe Hunters have a similar debuff). I don't even use the titan supers anymore as their damage is pathetic, it feels like just using a machine gun is more effective.

Back when Reckoning was newish to the game, LFG was packed with posts like "need 1 for Reckoning - no Titans".

This post on the sub I think is a good summary:

"Titan for DPS? Nova Bomb Warlock/GG Hunter/etc. do it better.
Add Control? Nova Bomb Warlock with Skull, Blade Barrage Hunter with Shards, Tether with Rigs, etc. arguably do it better with more utility/uptime.
Protection? Lol just run a Well. Rally Barricade for reloads? Nah, one of your Warlocks has Luna's and will just use that.
The only thing that Titan really offers that other classes don't cover is Melting Point damage bonus off of a Melee ability, and if that's all Titans are really "strong" at that can't be covered by other classes...it feels lackluster.
No one really "complains" about having a Titan in the group (mostly because people have gotten good enough at LW/SoTP/etc. that classes are less of an issue), but then again, there's really no "need" for a Titan in most groups--a Hunter or Warlock could do the same job as the Titan, if not better. There's really not much of an "identity" for Titans outside of Melting Point is what it feels like."

Right now when there's no new content in the game? Sure. As soon as some new difficult content hits the game, (raid or higher Light Level activity or whatever) that people haven't figured out strats for yet, that's when you'll see the "LFG for hunters/warlocks ONLY" requests. Once everyone's figured out the content and knows the strats for it, then they ease up and don't mind carrying a Titan or two with them.

The sub has many experienced players who play all classes, regularly posting there experience about this issue. Having a Titan in your group makes whatever activity you're doing at the moment more difficult.

Sure there are moments when Titans are useful, for example hammers are great for killing the lanterns in Leviathan Baths (an inanimate object) - but that's 1% of the raid. When the other classes are useful for 99% of the raid.

Except this isn't entirely true. I will kill far more adds than any Hunter or Warlock ever could with bottom tree Sentinel Shield and the Doomfang Pauldrons. The up time on that is nearly infinite so long as you have targets. I will agree that outside of add clear, Titan supers do feel pretty weak compared to Nova Bomb, Golden Gun / Nighthawk and Blade Barrage for boss damage. In the Reckoning, you can sub a Titan for a Warlock and vice versa. You can't sub a Hunter for a Warlock. Sure, you can deal with the snipers using other means but its damn near impossible to clear the bridge in a Tier 3 Reckoning without a Warlock or a bubble Titan. I'm not saying it can't be done but it would be way harder than it needs to be without one of those two specs. That said, I will agree that the Well of Radiance Warlock is far better than the bubble Titan.

You may be right. I avoid LFG at all costs, because of crap like that. My clan is almost non-existant, so I don't raid, unfortunately. No patience for online asshat strangers.

Eh, the PVP tryhards tend to stick to the Hunters and Titans anyway, regardless if they're good or not. I only run crucible to get the powerful gear when I'm leveling or to get the next exotic handcannon. Oddly enough, the hunters jump feels dumb to me. I've only played Titan for about 3 minutes, so I can't even comment there.

I'd say add clear is more about skill and the weapons on the player. IE, my blast furnace feels as if it puts me in an unfair advantage in Gambit add clearing. I don't think that's a great metric to measure the characters value.

Yay, I went from 22- 26 percent or so on Thorn "Weaponize the Unknown" requirements in Crucible after two hours of play! At the rate I'm going I might have it in 6-12 months. LOL.

All three jumps have advantages at certain times. The Hunter's faster fall is an advantage in PvP as you aren't in the air as long. If you've got another jump left, you can correct and continue to jump up if you miss a platform on a Hunter. No other class can do that. However, the floaty jump makes certain things easier. The Warlock just drops straight down and slowly when you stop interacting with it while in air. That too has advantages.

I play all three classes. Generally, there is nothing I can't do on a Titan that I can do on the others and vice versa. Some things are easier with one or the other.

Ya, I think that's all pretty well known, all three have their positives and negatives. Of course this was all in jest. (Warlock is still the best).:)

But hey, more power to you if you figured out how to pop an empowering and healing rift on your Titan. I'm sure the bubble is great for the Riven cheese too. (this is me poking fun at "my Titan can do everything any other class can").

Ok, I'm done.

I really like these guys I seen them on clearance in the Walmart Dairy dept of all things but never picked them up. I figured if I buy them they will lose their lackluster appeal like any action figure over time.

Hahahaha! they made action figures?!

Well, may be the code will be worth it.

At best all I have was a discounted Kill Tracker ghost from best buy.

I meant that I could clear all the same content on a Titan as I could on a Warlock or Hunter. Obviously, that depends on total group composition and circumstances. I wouldn't obviously be able to do the same job a Warlock does in every scenario.

LOL

With this game I think the worst part is the Story mode point on dialogue drives me nuts.
I'm going though the Osaris story now it's not really fun but it looks nice I'm level 23.
I could of applied the level 30 char level but then I would of missed half of the game.

Not sure how this happened but Iron Banner and I came together just right somehow. I'm getting 5-10 percent points per round simply going in and using Ace to get this "weaponize the unknown" step finally finished.

I have been chipping away at the Thorn quest in iron banner. After my shift tonight I have three days off before starting the new job so I will finally get it finished.

I had my best round EVER about an hour ago. Efficiency of 15! I'm usually lucky to get it above 1

The Curse of Osiris and Warmind aren't as good as the base story or Forsaken. The level 30 boost would have completed much of the game for you, but I don't know if it would be half of it. There are too many weapon quests, strikes, raids, forges, etc. that you wouldn't even have been introduced to using the boost.

Warmind Bray like the people across the street have the same last name.

finished off the crucible part of the Thorn quest before I had to leave for work. Iron Banner w/Ace and the grenade buff from the revelry I was gaining 5-10% every round. Going to try and get the strike done this weekend.

Much to my own amazement: Thorn is mine. :)

That strike at the end... I hate that one anyways let alone this monstrosity. Go in with a good team. It took us a number of deaths at the end but we got it.

Congrats! Yeah that strike is no joke!

So the gun I want in this game the most right now is The Reculse. That means comp...

I've begun the journey and I'm taking a break at 856 Glory. I feel like thats a good push. Everyone who said low Glory comp wasn't bad was right. Everyone down there at this point aren't big comp players or they'd be much higher so easy going.. for now.

2100 here we come!

Not Forgotten got my attention after I got fragged by it a bunch of times.

I have to get Luna's Howl first. I don't know if that will ever happen. I do have the Recluse quest so hopefully I will chip away at some of this over time.

My feelings on LH/NF are.. well a lot of it changed today with the big changes they're getting next season.

They're weapons that you only benefit from if you are accurate and can hit your shots. Basically, they only help really good players, as they should. If you're mediocre and not able to proc Magnificent Howl regularly, they're no better than any other god rolled 180 (though again, this changed today, see link). I can't see myself wanting to use them over Ace in PvP. And for PVE, which is all I really care about, there are far better options to use in that slot.

The Reculse SMG (btw you can pick up the quest from Shaax anytime, I think its called "From the Mouth of the Babes" or something like that) is desirable because the thing absolutely SHREDS in PvE. You have to reach Glory rank "Fabled" in Competitive so no Quick Play or Iron Banner.

I can see that. Thorn is going to be a nice complement to Ace. It's already earning my respect fast while I use it. I got a "god roll" Duke MK44 that really came out well, too. That's a fun gun to use. I was kind of hoping to get another Better Devils and see how they check out.

Yikes. That's a real longshot for me.

Oooooh hellllllllllllll no. The final chest in level 7 escalation protocol is some crap armor not needed for the destinations badge?! Uuuuuuuuugh.. so much time grinding out heroic adventures I could have just been grinding the protocol itself.

You need a full set of EP armor on at least one character for Wayfarer. You can only get that armor from EP.

Yes, it's Y1 with shit rolls but EP is a Y1 activity.

That was the first title I got which happened by surprise. When the titles were introduced I looked at them thinking I'd never have any of them but realized shortly after that Wayfarer was close. The Braytech Osprey rocket launcher (only available from the Strange Terrain Nightfall) was one of the last pieces I needed.

I'd say 90% of that title can be done just playing the game.

 I haven't even gotten LH yet. I'm pissed I burned time for it already. Not that I really got anywhere, but I could have skipped Comp altogether...

All I have left are weapons.. Ten to be specific.. I was under the impression the Ikeleos were in the chest.. not the blasted armor. Ugh.. well.. this just means more efficient grinding of the EP, crucible-rumble, and strikes. Just should have known that earlier. Whoopsie daisy.

The Ikelos weapons drop straight from the boss itself. You don't get it from the chests. That's where you get the crappy armor from.

Yup.. learned that yesterday... the hard way. Sat in dumbfounded Homer Simpson silence. Hahaha

fine with me, they were a bit to strong and became crutches for to many people. Understand fully the grind to get them was long but they were just to strong, it shouldn't be a big deal for good players. I still destroy people with guns like graviton lance and uriels gift. Still tons of guns out there that reward good players in pvp so the actual good players shouldn't be to affected by the LH/NF nerfs.

The problem was is that those guns were so good, that it elevated good players to a point where players who didn't have them were at a severe handicap. It made it even harder to succeed in competitive than it already is.

Yeah Armor drops from the chests while the weapons drop from the boss. The weapons are on rotation so not all are always available. I'm in a meeting on my phone or I'd link it but Braytech and many other sites have the rotation listed each week.

Naw, no big deal. I follow a few of the 'weekly reset inforgraphics' and am hip on the schedule.

ya thats what I meant, they were becoming crutches for players and it meant an almost always guaranteed win for the higher tier players v those that didn't have it. They should be slightly better and rewarding for good skill players but should not be able to elevate those to god status and let lower skill players beat out better players simply because the gun was that much better.
